(Bhanu Bandopadhdhay)

[English version has given below]

I knew about Bhanu Bandopadhdhay from my childhood. My dad had cassettes of his comics, which he use play with cassette player regularly and laughed. He liked some of Bhanu's dialog very much that he said them many times and laugh, like, "Khori mati diya likkha dilo tor bape aichhilo (Write with a chalk that your dad had came)", "Bata maura vut ja koi bujhena (This Marowari language people talk unnecessary, never gets the point what I am saying)" etc.

Few days back I have seen a TV program (Gazi TV) on Bhanu Bandopadhdhay. Glad to see that he came from Bikrompur (Same like us). Their village people said, they thought this boy doesn't have enough brain, but later when they get to know that he became a great comedian then they realize this boy was very intelligent.

His mom and dad was very educated and both of them use to do job (Rare on those days). He studied in Saint Gregory high school, Jagannath College and University of Dhaka. Then he went to Kolkata. It's really matter of passion that he was very well educated but still took comedy as his main work.

His language wasn't same as Kolkata. The people of Kolkata said, it's Bangal Language. But this language gave him extra benefit in comedy.

From the bottom of my heart I salute this man.
