পশুর বর্জ্য থেকে দামী কফি! (Good quality Coffee bin from animal's wastage)

আমার ধারনা ছিল, আমরা কেবল মৌমাছির পেটের ভিতরের জিনিস (মধু) খাই. কিন্তু এখন দেখছি, নাহ আরো অনেক বিষয় আছে যা আমাদের অজানা...

পশু পাখির বর্জ্য সার আর বায়োগ্যাস তৈরিতে কাজে লাগে বলেই জানতাম, তবে ডিসকভারি চ্যানেলের বদৌলতে আরো অনেক উপকারের কথা জানতে পারলাম.

থাইল্যান্ডের বনে, আগে যেখানে আফিং (এক ধরনের নেশাকর দ্রব্য) চাষ হতো, এখন সেখানে উন্নত মানের কফি বিনের চাষ হয়. আবহাওয়া নাকি ম্যাচ করে (এটা তাহলে আমাদের দেশেও সম্ভব). তবে এখানকার সবচেয়ে দামী কফি উত্পন্ন করে এক ধরনের পশু (সিভেট). এরা কফি বিন খায় এবং বাগানে মল ত্যাগ করে. চাষীরা কাগজ পেতে তাদের কৃতিম মল ত্যাগের জায়গা বানিয়ে দিয়েছে. এক জায়গায় বার বার বর্জ্য ত্যাগ করার ফলে সেখানে বেশ পরিমানে কফি বিন জমা হয়. চাষী এটা হাত দিয়ে ধরেনা. কাঠি দিয়ে তুলে কারখানায় নিয়ে আসে. এরপর একে ১০ বার ধোয়া হয় হাতে, বর্জ্য এবং কফি বিন আলাদা করার জন্য. এই কাজ সহজে কেউ করতে চায়না. কারন প্রথমবার নাকি বেশ বাজে গন্ধ বের হয়. এরপর এক সপ্তাহ রোদে শুকানো হয়. শুকনা বিন মেশিনে গরম করে ভাজা হয়. তারপর সেখান থেকে বের হয় দারুন কফির সুগন্ধ. যার মূল্য অনেক বেশি. এরপর টিন এ ভরে মূলত: আমেরিকায় রফতানি করা হয়.

কবুতরের বর্জয়াও নাকি অনেক উপকারী, চামড়া প্রক্রিয়ার জন্য. এতে চামড়া মসৃন আর টেকসই হয়....

এজন্য ই আমি খাবার খাওয়ার সময় ডিসকভারি চ্যানেল দেখিনা... হঠাত এমন সব বিষয় দেখায় যে খাওয়া মুশকিল হয়ে যায়.

I thought we only eat food from only one insect's stomach (Honey from bee). But recently I found there are really much in real life. I thought birds and animal's wastage only use for fertilizer or bio-gash. But my knowledge has increased because of Discovery Channel.

In Thailand's jungle where people use to produce opium, now they started producing good quality Coffee bin (May be this is possible in Bangladesh too, same weather), because weather matches. But the most valuable (costly) Coffee bin produced by an animal (Civet). It eats coffee bin at night and left it's wastage in the garden. Farmers made man made toilet with paper for them. They usually left their wastage over there. Later farmers collect it with wooden stick and take it to the production house, where they wash it for 10 times in hand. Well actually nobody wants to do this job because it stings really hard when someone wash it for first time to separate wastage from Coffee bin. Then they dry it in the sun for 1 week. Then again dry it in the machine, kind of frying. Then the real smell comes from the coffee bin. Farmers pack it in Tin and mainly sold it to US.

Pigeon's wastage is also very important to process in leather factory. It helps to make leather smooth and strong.

You know what, this is why I don't watch Discovery channel while taking food.... Suddenly it shows such program that I had to stop eating...
