(Stairs made by log)

[English version has given below]

At my grandfather’s house (Maternal) in Faridpur, I have seen there were stairs made by log beside the pond. As those logs were round shape, I really faced trouble to keep my balance. Always felt I will slip down to the water. Well, I must confess here that I don’t know swimming.

When I was in grade 10 I went to my uncle’s house (Maternal) at Baisori from Naikhonchhori, Bandarban. My uncle was the manager of a rubber plantation. I went to visit those rubber plants with my uncle (Here all plantation made on the slope area of the hills). When I reached the top of one of the hill I found a tribal family (Named Mog) made a home up on the hill. They first clear top the hill then made the house with wood. If you had ever seen these tribal houses, you must have noticed that they keep the first floor empty and their main house started from the 1st floor. To reach the main floor they had made stairs made by the logs. They cut stairs on a log and with this one log they made their stair. This log isn’t wide enough to put your full feet on it. So, when they use it they put their feet in especial angle. Well, I have seen Mog girls are working at the whole day, but they never do anything in a hurry. They move in rhythm and do all work in that rhythm. Even they are using those stairs with that rhythm. Well, I didn’t try to use it, I don’t have any interest to break my bones. I just sit on a high place and eat Papaya. They had planted papaya tree beside their house.
