I used to prepare a complete meal on my birthday. Every time, I tried to make something new on my menu. Then I enjoyed the food with my family members. These days, I don't have that strength, but I still try to make something. I just don't invite anyone because I never know whether I will be able to make something or not, or whether that food will turn out tasty.

This feels very honest and deeply human. The quiet effort you still make, even without the certainty or energy you once had, carries its own kind of celebration. Sometimes birthdays are less about grand plans and more about honoring where we are in the moment. Reading this reminded me how meaningful simple, comforting experiences can be, much like slowing down in a peaceful place such as https://rajniva.com/stay-in-darjeeling, where presence matters more than perfection.
