More money will be spent, and people are happy about it.

 People had issues with the speed detector cameras because they were charging money for those who broke the rules. As a result, it was removed. The city was earning some money to invest in its development, but now that has gone, especially since the city was already lacking money.

To address the high speeding problem, the Ontario government will now invest money from taxpayers who actually follow the rules. Their money will be used to make new signs, speed bumps, and fund the police. When police have a more difficult job to do, they still have to spend time dealing with car speeding. More money will be invested from innocent taxpayers, not just the culprits. But people are happy now.

Most happy persons are those who say that they can now speed up without any fear.

Connected to technology and/or are under surveillance

 I believe I am under watch 24 hours a day because I use a smartphone, and it seems it is listening and watching me all the time. When I talk about something or even watch anything, it comes to my search engine or ad. They know what I am looking for, even though I didn’t use the term on the phone for search or anything else.

We have street cameras on the roads, so my movement is recorded.

I use a Presto Card on the bus, streetcar, and subway. If I check my Presto card status on the website, I can see that it records where I have punched, at what time, how much money I have expended, and how much money is left on my card. So, Presto can also detect my location and time.

They have CCTV cameras inside the bus/streetcar/subway, so my movement is always recorded.

At home, I have a smart TV. I noticed that sometimes, my TV sends info to my cell phone, and then the phone automatically starts showing the AD that was just shown on the TV. And I was holding my phone.

I didn’t like the way two machines were talking behind me and working on me without my consent. To stop this, I turned off one program on my phone, which generally keeps turning on when someone buys a phone or upgrades the system.

The smart TV has a computer with a camera inside it. It may be watching me and sending signals even when the TV is turned off.

Information about movement or activities in public places can be used for security reasons. But I believe all information, even personal information, is being taken and used for commercial purposes. They do not have any consent, and even if they have (sometimes people say I agree to the terms and conditions), they are not sharing their profit with us. This information is used to make money by using the general public without payment. Moreover, in some places, it may be used by the government to demolish someone illegally (against the opposite party, racism, etc.). All of this should be stopped. 

Biography 264: Camera

 Photography has changed dramatically in one generation. My first childhood pictures were taken in a photo studio. My mom used to prepare and take us to the studio, where they took our black-and-white pictures.

Then my mom bought a camera that works with a photo reel. We had limited pictures we could take, so my parents had to develop the reel and print it out.

In my generation, I have seen digital cameras earlier. People take pictures and then download them to the computer.

Then, cell phones added camera features. As far as I can see, Samsung gives the best quality pictures. Now, taking pictures isn't an issue.

The next picture-taking feature was added to glasses or anywhere else. So, people are taking pictures by blinking. Satellite pictures are also very important. Let's see what comes next.

iPhone 5

People are fond of iPhones. I really don't have any craziness about it. After the dead of my last cell phone, I had to think to buy a new one. As all are talking about iPhone, I started looking for one for me too. I found iPhone 5 is now free (You have to give $15 and your phone bill per month). Seems good for me. So, I bought one.

Next day, I found the camera and flash aren't working properly. Again I had to go the customer care and spend my day in the mall to resolve this problem. Well, now things are going fine. But still it gave me a very better experience about iPhones.
