Lights on the road

In Canada, I have lived in both Saskatchewan and Ontario Provinces. Everywhere one thing really surprises me; the road lights. It feels like that at night, we are playing hide and seek games with the cars. By looking at any moving shadow, drivers assume something is there. Because of lights, many accidents happen; they hit pedestrians or any light poles, etc.

On the other side, if you look at the markets, even apartment buildings everything are decorated with lights. Unnecessary lights. If you can afford it, it's OK. Looks really beautiful. Then what happens when it comes to the roads? The street lights are not bright enough to see the streets clearly, and the gap between each light pole creates darkness on the road. It is difficult to determine whether humans or animals are on the road.

Car lights don't give light on the road enough to correctly see any road damage. It is just for the other cars and people to notice something is running on the road.

In winter, most people wear black or dark winter jackets. It's not just people's choice; most of the winter dresses in the shopping malls are black. There should be a law to mark winter jackets with a reflecting colour, which will be very helpful for pedestrians and cars.

If you come to Bangladesh, you will see that the road lights are so bright that people can study beside the roads. I have noticed that the road lights are perfect in Malaysia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, etc.

(Even we doubt when we see the moon light)

[English version has given below]

Once upon a time, people who use to live on 4th floor could get lots of sun light and natural air in the Dhaka City. But things are changing very rapidly. Now a day people who have 3/4 storied building, sale them to the building developers. And then the developers build high rise buildings or apartments. I don't know people who live in between those high rise buildings can see the sun or moon. But we are lucky in that sense, because we have road at two sides of our building. So, from Baranda we could see a bit of sky. But still whenever I saw moon light at night in our baranda first I check, is it from any other building's light or the moon somehow manage to came into our house...

Dim light at bed time

In my room I have two lights. One is tube light, which is connected with the IPS. Another one is energy savings light. I need both. Now I need another light holder for a dim light. Because I had to check my son at night how he is sleeping, is he sweating, is there any mosquito biting him etc. Now, I am using the energy savings light. In this light its difficult makes my son fall in sleep, unless he sleeps by himself. I wish I could manage a dim light. Then under mosquito net, I can sleep well with my son.
