শহরে, গ্রামে, জংগলে সব জায়গায় আছে এই দোলনা। বাড়ির উঠানে, মাঠে, ছাদে, পাহাড়ের গায়ে, পাহাড়ের চূড়ায়... কোথায় নেই। আমার ভয় হয় এটা দেখে যে, একবার ছিড়ে পড়লে পাহাড়ের খাদ বেয়ে সোজা নিচে চলে যেতে হবে। সকাল, বিকাল, সন্ধ্যা সব সময়ই আমি এদের দোল খেতে দেখেছি। আমাদের হোটেলের ছাদেও দেখি দোলনা আছে। নাগরকোট (মনে হয় ৭৫০০ফুট উচুতে) খুব সুন্দর জায়গায়, এই পাহাড়ের চূড়ায়ও আছে দোলনা।
আমাদের দেশে আমি দেখেছি, সাধারনত: গাছের সাথে দড়ি দিয়ে সাথে পিড়ি বা ছালা দিয়ে দোলনা বানায়। এদেরটা সম্পূর্ন অন্য রকম। ৪টা বাঁশ ২টা ২টা করে পাশাপাশি মাটিতে পুতে। তারপর মাঝখানে আড়াআড়ি করে বাঁশ বা লাঠি বা কাঠ বেধে তাতে দড়ি ঝুলায়, যেভাবে আমরা গাছের সাথে দড়ি বাঁধি। তারপর দোল খায়।

Do you know, what is the national game of Nepal? I don't know. But after visiting their country I think it's swinging. All aged people from Nepal likes swinging from kid to grand pa. They even stand in queue to get on the swing.
You can see swing, all over the country from plain land to hill, village to town, house to hotel. I really get fear when I saw this at the top of the hill. If any how the rope gets tear people will from the hill directly to the ground. They keep swinging all over the day... from morning to evening. I have seen a swing even in our hotel, at the roof. Nagarkot has a beautiful tourist place, this is located may be at 7500 ft high than sea level. I have seen a swing over this hill too.
In our country, we generally make swing by swinging rope from the tree then add small wooden bench or tire with it. But here they use different technology. I put 4 bamboos and twist their head together and hang rope from there...
