Biography 94: Networking

 When I was taking my training in Bangladesh Shishu Academy and Bulbul Lalito Kola Academy on Dancing and later Singing, I have learnt what is called "Networking". Those students get a good chance to come to the front and take the main character of the show, whose parents make very good networking with the teachers. First I saw talking with teachers and laughing and investing time with them, then I saw the rise of the students. I don't know whether money played a role over here or not. But I didn't like it. I don't like it even now.

I believe talent should be the first thing to choose when you select anyone for anything. If you really want to grow your company, society or country. And dishonesty should be the first thing to deselect any person no matter how much talent they have.

So, when later, my talent get the attention of the teachers, they were very good to us. some of them asked us to take them to whom to our parents. I didn't even inform our parents. Still, my mom doesn't know about it. Some of the students later asked me, the teacher wanted to go your home, did he? I said, NO. Nothing wrong to become very close to your teacher, but this may create that networking result. Which mostly makes favouritism in the long run. I never support it.

There is another hidden reason behind all these. My mom doesn't care who is in front of her when she gets angry. So, I had fear, she might say something strong to our teacher, then I have to leave to course.

Maybe because of this not networking attitude, today, I am nowhere. The world, especially Canada lives on networking and favouritism.

Networking is very common word in Canada. Specially if you are looking for a job, people who are ready to help you professionally will ask you to grow networking. Which means you must make communication with the people who can give you a good job. In general, this is a very simple and good way to get a job. But is it? Really?

That means you don’t have to make your skill good, no need any other qualification, dedication of your work, honesty. Trust me you really don’t need anything, if you have good networking quality. Just use your big mouth, show little smartness in attitude that’s it. Networking can give you any job you want.

Then what will happen to the company, who is recruiting you? No body cares, if they can’t run, they will stop their work. By this time, you will earn enough and get good experience certificate. Unless you get another job, your insurance will pay you.

No wonder Canada’s economy is behind other 1^st world countries.

Networking

Today I am not talking about web networking, I am talking about human networking. Networking is very important in life. No doubt. But is it so much important for your company that you don't count anybody else rather than your network?

When you don't have enough people in your area, networking can be a very good tool to find the right people for your company. Things has changed a lot now. People are migrating from every where in this world. Number of skilled population are higher than any time. Now if you still stick with your networking then you might be losing people who were much more skilled and qualified for your company.

What do you think about those skilled persons who are not in your network? They might not be getting good job or opportunity to grow themselves and to help companies to grow, only because of good networking.

So, for education which is more important now? Good skill or good networking?
