Biography 252: Torontonian's snow experience.

I have lived in Saskatchewan, Canada, for six years. I have lived covered and surrounded with snow for months. I am used to walking when my leg is deep down over the knee in the snow. I have walked and driven in snow storms. I know how it feels when a car gets stuck or slides in the snow. I have all the experience.

Still, Toronto teaches me some more about snow. Here, the situation is different. Here, snow melts into water the next day. Then, in cool weather, it freezes again. So, obviously, anything will slide on this ice floor (humans, cars., trucks, or buses). And the city isn't used to handling snow over 30cm. Suddenly, when snow covers the roads one day, all cars get stuck, and people have to leave their vehicles on highways and other roads. Maybe the city of Toronto should get some training from Saskatchewan crews to handle heavy snow on the roads.

My car got stuck after getting out of the garage. I scared. In this situation, the people of Saskatchewan know what to carry in the vehicle and what things should be at home. They come out from home, even top their car and help all people around them, specially who are in trouble in the car. So, things get normal fast. Torontonians have no idea about it. So, I didn't get any help. I have used all my skills and somehow got out of the trap and came back to the garage.

After this situation, I always have an eye on weather reports. If they give any alert, I take it seriously and don't go out.

Biography 250: Never settled

I am a person who wants to settle down, or you can say nested, have a permanent earning source, own a permanent address and a vehicle, and live a decent life.

But my luck doesn't support this. In Dhaka, Bangladesh, I have lived in 5 places; none was mine. In Saudi Arabia, I lived in 3 places in two cities. In Canada, I lived in 4 places in two cities. All rented.

I had my father's car in Bangladesh for a couple of months, then he took it back. In Canada, I bought 3 cars (after selling the previous one). All were second-hand.

I don't have a permanent job; I never had one.

Sometimes, I wondered what Allah wanted me to do. Live in more places, do different jobs, and buy more cars (After selling the previous one)? Why can't I settle down? Maybe I will have to see more people, join more organizations, have more homes, and live in different countries or areas. Maybe I still didn't do what I was supposed to do. Or should I just retire?

(My car will run if I just put some petrol in it)

[English version has given below]

Shafeen (My 6 year old son) wants a big car for years. Where he can sit and run it. And he won't need to push it by his leg. Now he has many toys of cars, but none of is like that where he can sit and drive. His biggest toy is one red car where he can sit and then he had to drive it by pushing his leg on the ground.

Shafeen has seen in big toy stores, they are many big cars where kids can sit and drive (Need battery). He requested me to buy one for him. Generally I try to keep his entire request... but here still I couldn't manage enough money for it.

One day He came to me and asked me to buy some petrol for him. I surprise and asked, "Why?" He replied, he will put some petrol inside his red car then the car will run itself (He won't need to push it)...

Shafeen's pray

I was preparing for my prayer. Suddenly my son asked me to wait for a while and wave my hand. I did, and then he took this picture.

Now a day Shafeen (my 5 years old son) says prayers with me too. At the end I told him you can ask anything from Allah. I heard he is asking "Please give me a big car, a big car.”  I don't know whether his wish will fulfill or not. But he is asking this always.

Shafeen said, it’s his headache, where will he keep his big car and he will manage. Here big car means big toy car which runs by batteries and remote.

My son is very desperate (he always desperate for his toys), now in my mind, I also wish that he should get a big car soon.

Shafeen is always stronger

Shafeen (my son) always believes he is a strong man. If he makes problem while feeding, I told him, if you eat this food you will be a stronger kid. Sometimes this word (strong) works. Here he picked up his car and showing to me how strong he is, he was 2 years and 8 months old.
