Biography 198: IT companies from 2000 to 2005

This was the time when IT companies in Bangladesh started developing. Bangladeshi people like to follow each other and compete with each other. Without thinking whether it is right or wrong. When in 2000 people first started using the internet, getting to understand about websites, emails, and messages, IT companies started developing like mushrooms beside the lakes.

Some of those companies don't have any capital to survive just for a month. Somehow, they manage to buy two computers, put them in a room, and hire a programmer and a designer. There is no one for sales or marketing. They hope the company will run and make them millionaires.

After one month they stopped giving wages to their employees and expected them to work for them for months without any payment.

Then after 3 three months, the programmer will see, that someone is taking out the fans, someone the computer, because the company didn't pay them fully.

I started my career in those days. I learned that I expended more when I didn't have any job, only searching, preparing and giving interviews.

My career started during this time. I didn't fear at all. Because I was living with my parents. I just needed my pocket money. Whenever I saved an amount, I expended it by travelling somewhere. Sometimes with family members, sometimes with friends, sometimes with known people and sometimes with unknown people.

So, my bank balance was always 0.

But I never stayed in the minus amount. I always paid everywhere from my own pocket.

Still I am alive

Yesterday when the bus hit our car, I thought I have gone forever. But somehow car driver slow down his speed at the last moment and bus driver give the hard break. But both have seen each other long time back, easily they could stopped themselves. But Bangladeshi tradition is unless there is no space between them; cars/bus/rickshaw will not give chance to anyone to go earlier.

Decision for career

I have listened from a very popular, experienced Project Manager that if people don’t listen to you over here then leave them; go where people listen to you.
My 7 years experiences says, try to make position, may be you can change their attitude.
Do doubt both are contradictory. Now you have to take decision what is your situation? What will be the right decision for you?
