A tunnel in between Mississauga and Toronto

 I support building a tunnel between Mississauga and Toronto. When we build infrastructure, we don't just make it for today or 50 years. It should support us for 100s of years. The way Toronto and other GTA cities are growing, we have to think forward. We can assume that the population and mobility will increase very rapidly.

So, we have to start building infrastructure in a way that will be very helpful and able to update in the future. That's why I support to build a tunnel. This tunnel will be beneficial for moving cars now. But we have to develop a way to add trains, stations, pipelines, restaurants, shops, and hotels. Maybe not at a time; it must have room to grow later.

I hope, whoever wins the election will consider making infrastructure to have room for the future.

Ice Rain in Toronto

 From my observation, one impact I want to discuss here is road blocking with the tree branches. After the ice rain, the branches of the trees became very heavy. So, in many places, it broke and fell the road, which blocked the road. If the roads were blocked, no one could go anywhere, and no emergency vehicle could enter the community. This is a huge issue. Tree branches also fell on cars and houses; there were many injured people. An ambulance cannot rescue people if the road stays blocked. People also can not go somewhere to buy food or collect any emergency supplies.  

My strategy is that, as we know what could affect ice rain, the city should be prepared to collect branches and clean up the road right after the storm. If possible, they will also bring a helping hand from the neighbouring province so that the action runs quickly and efficiently. Then, the rest of the rescue mission can be run properly.

Bicycle lane

 In Canada, I have seen them always make a bicycle lane on the roadside. Cyclists are not allowed to ride on the sidewalk, no matter how wide it is. I found it very risky. The speed of the cars and bicycles doesn't match. That's why if any kind of collision happens, the cyclist dies in most cases. It's very common over here.

What if a collision happens between pedestrians and cyclists? In most cases, both will survive.

That's why a bicycle lane should be developed beside the sidewalk. There could be a divider or small gap between the two lanes. In this bicycle lane, try cycles, scooters, and some chairs that can run like cars.

Roads should be only for the 4 wheelers. Here are some examples and some beneficial ideas. Like adding solar panels to the bicycle lanes.

Construction work time

 We all have some idea of how long construction may take. Many Torontonians come from different countries, and many have visited various countries, so we have some ideas. But, how construction work takes time in Toronto raises questions.

I believe our responsible people need to seek help or suggestions and visit Japan, Singapore, or other countries that do their construction work quickly and efficiently. We may require some training or guidance to improve our maintenance work time.

World is doing much better, we need to learn and implement to our country Canada too.

The city should do more about the rivers

 If we have a river running between our city or running around us, then we are very lucky. As all ancient cities were beside the river, most of our cities have rivers. In some cities, they killed that river. Some cities care for those rivers very well by maintaining their banks and surrounding areas.

In my opinion, we can use this river not only for beautification but also as a travel spot or, moreover, as a city transit.

Yes, no matter how we use it, our first concern is to keep the environment well, take good care of the river and then the benefit.

The city's population will grow daily, and everyone needs some leisure time without travelling far away or spending less/no money.

The city can create some beautiful river spots where people can sit and view the river while enjoying local foods and doing activities like exercise, skating, etc.

The city can arrange river cruse by small paddle boats or ships, by making no or less noise or hassart on the river.

Mostly, I recommend making some transit over the river, which can be helpful as entertainment and also can be used as a city transit. It will contain more people, less costs, without traffic jams and some income for the city.

Again, no matter what we do, we have to keep our flora and fauna protected.
