এক বান্ধবীর কাছে প্রথম শুনেছিলাম, 2 শালিক দেখলে ভালো কিছু ঘটে, আর এক শালিক দূরভাগ্য আনে। বিস্বাস তো করিনি, কিন্তু মনের অজান্তে 1টা শালিক দেখলেই হন্য হয়ে আরেকটা খুজতে থাকি। এমনকি শুধু শালিক না, যে কোনো পাখি 1টা দেখলেই তার জোরাটা খুজতে থাকি। একা থাকবে কেনো, নিশ্চয়ই এর সাথি আছে। এবার রাংগামাটি গিয়ে একটা অদ্ভুত জিনিস দেখলাম। যে কোনো পাখি 2টা একসাথে ঘুরে না। আমার অভ্যাস মতন, একটা দেখলেই আরেকটা খুজেছি, একটু দূরে আরেকটা দেখে ধরে নিয়েছি, খাবার খুজতে খুজতে একটু আলাদা হয়েছে, এই আরকি। তাই বলে একটা দেখেতো নিজের দুর্ভাগ্য ডাকতে পারিনা!

Once I have heard from a friend that it will bring good luck if you see 2 Indian Myna. Instead if you see one then that means something bad is going to happen. Well, I don't trust on these sayings, but in my mind I always try to see two birds. If I found one bird, I start searching another one. Birds can't be stay alone (to bring bad luck to me); its partner must be sitting in a nearby place.
When I went to Rangamati, I marked there is no couple bird. All were flying alone. This can't be happen, I was try to see two birds and assuming there are actually together or I just see both birds not one. Hey I can't bring bad luck to me. :)
