Biography 33: Oasis

One day we were invited to visit an oasis / Date tree garden in Alkaseem (Saudi Arabia). When we entered the garden, we felt a very nice, cold, green area. The soil looks like desert soil, but date trees are planted well by 10/10 feet gaps. in between, they have cut a drain to flow water. We touched the water, it was surprisingly cold (Especially in the desert area). Because of tree branches, the whole area was coved with shades and some little gap to enter the sunlight. I could hear the chirpings of the birds. it was amazing.

Some of the visitor's drunk water from that clay drain. They said it was cold and tasty. My mom said the way fruits grown here, the soil must be very fertile. Even in small trees dates grown. Some of them have too many dates that the tree can't stand still because of the weight.
