Canadian living style: positive sides.

In Canada, the living style is much better than in many other countries. As I have seen they maintain the angle of the house so that in summer the sun goes over the head and sunlight comes less inside the house. In the winter, the sunlight comes directly inside the house for more time. It helps to balance the weather.

Many houses have both system central heating and AC. So, in any weather, you can live better. Every water tap has a hot and cold water system.

Every home has a bathtub with a shower.

Every living area has a playground or at least an open space for kids to play.

Every kitchen has an oven with a stove to cook and a refrigerator to keep food fresh. Each home has a laundry and dryer for dirty clothes. Most houses have dishwashers.

Most of the kitchen and washrooms have exhausted fans.

Every house has two kinds of alarms. Fire alarm and carbon monoxide alarm. By law, you must have these.

In windows and kitchen doors, many houses have nets, to stop bugs to come in.

Now the question is, why I am saying these? Because still there are rooms to improve. Before I say anything negative, I must let you know, that I always appreciate the positive sides of things. That's why expecting the improvements.

Poor house quality in Canada

In Canada, it is really difficult to find a good apartment, condo or house to rent. The landlord will hide their problems. No matter how hard you inspect you will never know about them until you start living in there.

And these problems are very common. But the landlord won't put money to fix it. The tenants have to adjust to it. They knew, if they leave this house, the next one will have some other problem.

The most common problem is cockroaches. Then bed bugs.

Another one in the house is a basement. They don't make it perfect to cover all kinds of holes. So, bugs, and mouses can easily enter. Moreover, this is a cold country. So, even in summer, the soil is very cold, and the basement area became very cold. The holes give extra cold wind blowing to make the tenant's life miserable.

In apartments, some have heating problems too. But the landlord won't fix the heater. They will keep it high when the tenant visits so they won't figure it out. Later, the heater will go in its own way, so some rooms may become very cold.

Some have leaking problems. In rain or snow, water leaks from the ceiling or pipe.

In some cases you will find broken fittings, some will be fixed after request, and some won't.

Some private houses won't put any money into cleaning. So, you have to do it by yourself after starting living in there.

There should be a very strong organization that can inspect rapidly these problems and make them fixed. I am sure Canada is developed enough to fix this problem.

Biography 91: Our new house

We were living in a rented apartment in Bangladesh. Our parents rented the apartment near to our own land. Where our parents started building their own house. You know what happens when people make their own house for the first time. My mom wanted so many things in that house and most of them were very new for a home in Bangladesh on those days. Like she put two kinds of window shades. One is wooden (To prevent everything) another one is with a net (To avoid mosquitos). In those days no one made like that. Most of the houses in our area were 1/2/3 storied in that area. Our parents first made 5 storied buildings. So, it became the tallest building in that area. My mom wanted to cover the outside wall with red ceramic bricks. But to reduce costs they put it at the front side only. Mom wanted to design with broken colourful glasses, my dad stopped her by saying it will like masjeeds. She also made cabinets in the kitchen by the local wood makers. People really didn't have those at that time. People laughed a lot at mom and dad because they were expending more money than general people do. But it was their dream house and they have the experience to live abroad and other cultures, so I understand.

House price in Canada, should be regulated

In Canada, overall all houses are the same. The building materials, inner decoration, floor, even the colour. But the price varies according to its location, size and time. Except for size, none other materials should give a huge difference in pricing. If you look at the house building cost and its decoration, the houses are unnecessarily costly.

The house price increased too much, now general people can never buy a house. So, what they do is take a mortgage and pay the rest of their life for their house. They can't take a rest or even feel down, they have to go and earn money to pay the monthly payment. After death, someone else will carry on, who they will nominate.

Actually, who is getting benefited over here? The bank or organization/broker who gave the mortgage and the company whose duty is to find a house. These middle persons didn't build the house, they are not buying too. But they are benefited and pulling all strings to increase the price.

Here, mostly the immigrants are the sufferer. Among them,  the Asian's are the ones who helped to create this situation and suffering lifetime money problem. Because of culture, Asian people's life target is to get their own homes and own cars. After immigration, they work heart and soul to earn money to buy a house. But the amount they earn, it will take longer, in some cases can never buy a house. Because the price is made that high. So, they have no other choice but to take a mortgage. Now for the rest of their life, they will keep paying the organization, and the organizations are getting rich to richer. The poor immigrant is happy that they can start living in a house (In Canada, because in most cases they had a house in their own country), which is on the mortgage but will someday they will own it or their future generation will get it.

We should stop this life-killing process. Price should go up too much this way. There should be a regulation to control the pricing of houses/condos or any other thing.

Natural beautification for your home

No matter how your house is, if you just add some green (trees) it will look gorgeous. For that, you don’t have to plan much. Green will itself decorate your home. But if you can make a good plan, the total environment may change dramatically, with some side effect ;) like insects, dirt etc. Well this is earth; you always have to adjust to have something better.

In the picture you can see, only green made the total frame so beautiful
