Biography 269 : Toys and animals

Our brother was born after 4 sisters. Obviously we all love him. Especially our parents. My father always listened to him. Whatever he wanted, he bought it for him. For example, I tried to convince my dad to go on the Sylhet tour, but he kept denying until Sifat said, "Ok, I will go with you." Immediately Dad agreed to make the tour. Sifat wanted a computer, not for learning, only to play games, my dad knew it, but he bought it for him. Every time he (my brother) went out to the shopping mall, he bought a toy and marked another one. After reaching home, he started asking for the other one too. Let me tell you one incident. He bought something and saw a plastic fish in the shopping center. After reaching home, he started demanding it. My father said, You just have a toy. But he wasn't ready to accept any logic. Dad thought, let's take some time, he might forget. But Sifat didn't. He kept asking for that fish for one month. Dad bought that fish. Within a few seconds, it became old. He didn't touch that again.

One day, we went to a toy store where Sifat regularly buys toys. We were surprised that there were no new toys. Whatever they had, Sifat had already bought one copy of.

I am saying this just to make you understand how much we pampered him. He knew, everybody loves him. He likes animals. Then he figured it out, all animals love him. They all called by his name. How come? He imitated their call with his name and proved to us that they all called him. We didn't want to dishearten him. So, we all agree, yes, everything, like a sparrow, crows, cows, a dog, goats, etc, all call by his name.

No space for more toys

My son doesn't want to misses any chance to buy toys. Sometimes he felt he has all cars that the shop had. Then he says, “Mom I have this car in red color, not the silver one, so today I want to buy the silver one”. I had to make many techniques to stop his toy buying mania… Now he has a rule (which he often breaks) he can buy only one toy in a month. Next toy will be given next month.

Few days back, he told me, “Ammu I had too many toys, don’t I? I won’t buy anymore toy.” I surprised and was happy. Well my happiness didn't stay long, he again started buying toys. You can assume how difficulty I face to keep his toys. As I couldn't find any space to keep his frog so hang it with the door.

Shafeen is a brave boy. He never gets afraid of jumping from high, climbing up in tough place, hitting cockroaches or other insects etc. But, don’t know why, he afraid of things which moves by itself. That’s why he doesn’t afraid to ride on a real horse, but the toys which moves by itself. He doesn’t have problem to play with big toy horses. But never let me put coin to move it. I hope it’s not a big issue.

Shafeen’s spider man

Here Shafeen was 1 year and 5 months old.

Shafeen’s grandfather (maternal) bought this Spider Man from International Trade Fair 2010. Here Shafeen is 1 year and 5 months old. He loves his Spider Man very much. But you know, within few days Spider Man was dead, I mean the toy somehow gets licked, its balloon performance is over. But Shafeen kept it for years, because he loved it very much. One day the cruel mommy (me) through it out (to the dustbin) without notifying the owner (Shafeen).
