Patient for photography

When visit to a beautiful place we always like to take a picture of it. So, that it will become a good memory to share with friends and family. We like it. Do we like that too when others are taking pictures, doesn't seem so. In many places I have faced problem while taking a snap.

When you see a person taking a picture of something do you really need to cross him/her in front of their camera? When you can wait for few seconds or may pass that place behind the photographer? Well all people don’t like to do so. They believe, I am the kind of that place. I can move wherever I like to and whenever I feel good. Who cares about others photography?

In the picture I was taking picture of my son at Baily road. Plenty of space left behind me and I didn't take much time. But still this person couldn't hold himself to meet his other boyfriends, while others were standing for some moment for mother child photography. Good for me that my son showed enough patients that I could take another snap for him.

No space for more toys

My son doesn't want to misses any chance to buy toys. Sometimes he felt he has all cars that the shop had. Then he says, “Mom I have this car in red color, not the silver one, so today I want to buy the silver one”. I had to make many techniques to stop his toy buying mania… Now he has a rule (which he often breaks) he can buy only one toy in a month. Next toy will be given next month.

Few days back, he told me, “Ammu I had too many toys, don’t I? I won’t buy anymore toy.” I surprised and was happy. Well my happiness didn't stay long, he again started buying toys. You can assume how difficulty I face to keep his toys. As I couldn't find any space to keep his frog so hang it with the door.

Fun game at the shopping mall

I don’t know whether it is available now or not. I found this image on the floor on Bashundhara city complex shopping mall. Kids were hitting on the image and it was breaking down… it seems they were smashing down the pictures… very funny. It was very interesting for the kids too. They had played on it for long time. I had to try for half an hour to make my son come back from this play and go home. I wish every shopping mall should have some fun game or place for kids with strong safety that they can stay there and guardians can go out and make shopping easily…

Waiting

My mom and my son waiting for food in a marriage ceremony

Waiting for anything is really tough. But we don’t have choice. My son faces big trouble when he had to wait for new toy, outing etc. Somehow he manages these problems. But he can’t wait for food. If anyhow he thinks that he is hungry, food has to be served in short time. This is not possible always.

When we join any celebration, we had to wait for food. It’s up to them, when they will serve us food. But it’s very difficult for my son. He started asking why they are delaying, why this delay. I couldn't find any way to stop him. Others will think, he is hungry and will eat a lot. But this is only for waiting, he can’t wait for food. When food arrives, sometimes within a minute he says, I am full, no more food.

This way or that way

In life, there is always a saying, “this way or that way”. That means you have to fulfill your goal. First you may go to the straightway, if fail, or if you found the path is close, you have to find other way (off course not any wrong way).

When Shafeen (my son) got fever, I strictly said to him, “you can’t play on the floor”, because, cold floor may cause more damage on him. So, my son had to find his other way. He brought up all his favorite things (including his favorite chair) on the bed. I can’t see the condition of bed after that… but he got his good solution.

Some fear with toys

Shafeen, didn't agree to ride on the game behind him.

Shafeen is a brave boy. He never gets afraid of jumping from high, climbing up in tough place, hitting cockroaches or other insects etc. But, don’t know why, he afraid of things which moves by itself. That’s why he doesn’t afraid to ride on a real horse, but the toys which moves by itself. He doesn’t have problem to play with big toy horses. But never let me put coin to move it. I hope it’s not a big issue.

Taking a ride in a bike

Shafeen (my son)

I like bikes. I don’t know (still) how to run them, but I like to ride them. My father has a motorcycle from his office. He used to give me a ride whenever he could manage time until my university study time. My friends used to ask who this guy with you on the bike was. I proudly said, "My dad."

Yesterday, my son wanted to take a bike ride on the road. I had to make him understand that we don’t know these guys. We can’t ask for a ride. If I find any known person with a bike, I will ask him to give me a ride for a moment. I hope someday he will fulfill his wish or have to wait until he grows up and buys his own bike.

Let it be “Shorok” for the time being

Default wallpaper from my cell phone

From tomorrow my son’s final exam will be started. It’s very important for me J I am sitting 1 hour everyday with my son to help in his study. When I ask him tell me the six season’s name in Bangla. He says, “Grissho (Summer), Borsha (Rainy season), Shorok (Autumn), Hemonto(Late Autumn), sheet (Winter), bosonto (Spring)”. I tried to make him correct. It’s not “Shorok” (Road), it’s “Shorot” (autumn). But he can’t get my point. OK lets it be “Shorok” (Road), his tongue isn’t supporting him to say “Shorot” (Autumn).

Flower and leaf

Shafeen with flowers

I like flowers. When I started using computer, I use to browse for flowers and download them. I like my birthday because on that day I got flowers and my room became full with flowers. My son likes flowers too, but in his own way. First he liked to tear them. Now gives to me (as he saw his friends do). Now a day he brings leaves to me. Does he understand the difference between leaf and flower? I hope he does.

Eating

"This is why mum don’t let me eat by myself." Here Shafeen was 2 years and 5 months old

I like to train my son to grow up well. But you sometimes my tiredness wins. I really can’t spend my whole day just for cleaning. Let me clear to you. Whenever I let my son to eat food by himself, he messes my room. And also waste most of the food. To avoid these problems I still feed him. The result is he didn’t learn well to eat by himself. I hope someday he will without my training. At least in school he had to take his Tiffin by himself.

A toy plane

Shafeen trying to understand the new creature

There was a toy plane for Tameem (my elder sister’s son). The specialty of the plane was its big eye’s. It could move. Every child liked that plane. Like Shafeen (my son) and Dia (my youngest sister’s daughter). You can see Shafeen, how curious was he by having that plane.
