Take care of your health

I am saying this to all, especially to women. When a woman becomes a mother, she cares for nothing but the child. After the child is born, she accepts all problems, which she can't say to everyone. But she keeps doing everything possible and impossible for her baby.

But we have to remember that if you stay well, then only you can take good care of your baby. To do everything for the baby, you have to stay fit, in sound mind, careful, and everything else.

When you encounter trouble on an airplane, you are told to take an oxygen mask and breathe first. Then, give it to your child. If you don't have breath, you can take care of your child's breath.

My mom use to say, Health is the key of all happiness. You may become rich, strong, or get the life you want. But if you ignore your health, you may not enjoy any of it. How can you travel and enjoy your life if you stay in a hospital bed, paralyzed, in pain? Sometimes, no medicine doesn't work. You even won't understand if there is anyone holding your hand and waiting for you or not.

So, no matter what happens, if you think you need to achieve something, give time to it. But always keep room for your own health—for food, exercise, and other activities. Mostly, love yourself. Everybody may leave you, but you shouldn't leave yourself. You need to be loved. We can say this way, there is no need to drop tears; buy yourself flowers.

Adjust to your pain

I don't think males face the problem the same way as females.

Unfortunately, if you are over 40 and seek medical attention for pain, the initial response from your doctor may be dismissive. Despite the severity or location of your pain, you may be advised to simply adjust to it, exercise, rest, and sleep.

No wonder why women have heart attacks more than men. Because they just have been told from childhood to adjust to it. Keep smiling with your pain because no one cares. Really, no one, not even you, for your own pain.

Don't say 50/50

Don't say 50/50. There is no way to make it 50/50.

Women started bleeding every month from around 12 for your kids. They had to deal with the blood and pain. Recently researchers found that 90% of women bear pain similar to a heart attack. This has been seen recently, but women have tolerated this for ages. There is no option to rest at work or home.

You have no contribution to it.

When she conceived a baby, then for 9 months, she had to adjust to hormonal changes, pains, and several kinds of problems and pain. In most cases, she has to work outside and at home.

You have no way to contribute to this process.

Giving birth is another immense pain and trouble. She felt like 57 bones break at a time, bleeding, and other problems. She has to go through this alone. Then nursing the baby and adjusting to post-birth hormonal changes, pains, and problems. Finally, raising the kids... that is countless work and jobs.

Again, you have nothing to do with it.

She already doing her job 100% alone.

So, be a man. Allah made you strong to take care of and protect women. Make an environment for her to do her job as comfortably as possible. Do all the other jobs properly so she can give full attention to her job 100%. Don't put her on more stress and drama that hampers her own job and also make her tired but still has to complete other tasks which you can easily do. Because you are not occupied like her and you are strong.

Be a real man!

Thought process of Bangladeshi men

[It's totally my opinion, from my experience (including observation, news and personal experience)]

In Bangladesh, there is a trend of thought process; Men (Teen to old) can do anything to a woman except kill. Killing is for home (I will talk about that later).

From coming out of the home, on the way to her destination and till she enters her destination, men are allowed to do anything. It's the girl's fault; why did she come out. Men and most women believe that this came from the religion. Though our messenger (May Allah give peace upon him) always took his wife to the war, other women also helped the soldiers like a doctor; they worked on business and everything during his time. Men were not allowed to disturb them anyway and were responsible for caring for them.

Let's return to Bangladesh; at the end of the day, men will say, you want the rights 50% (They believe and act like women shouldn't have any rights), then do everything like us. No, they didn't mean to work like them that women do better. They pointed to tolerate and be with them. Or showing strength like them. Obviously, not on them. On work, so that the small part of work they are doing, they don't have to do that either, but the respect they are getting from women should always be there. Otherwise, they will show their strength to the women in every possible way. If not physically, then verbally. Like, that woman is bad (in Bangla, Nosta), so now every man has the right to do anything to that woman. That is not bad for a man. Because they are men. Men will be men.

Let's give you a small example of the situation. If you ask any woman who rides on a bus, every woman will say someone touched her on the bus. Though most men are Muslim, they think if women want to take a bus, they have to tolerate this men's entertainment.

If you go outside Bangladesh to any other country, it is very rear that a man touches a woman on the bus. Whether they are Muslim or from any other religion or do not believe anything. Women can go out to work like a human.

Woman, you are the culprit

 Woman, you are the culprit.

I have seen this always, everywhere. When any negative incident happens, no matter what, if that is linked or just slightly linked to any woman. Then everyone will think, including all women, that the negative incident happened because of that woman.

For example, car accidents, airplane crashes, broken relationships, husband-wife trouble, rape, shoplifting, out of control kids. Anything, you name it, all because of women.

Just check, when you or anyone give any information about an incident, how the people around you or your friends or relatives react. You will see, whenever they get to know, a woman was there when that incident happened, they will think, because of her all of this happened. Directly or indirectly.

When men talk like this, I can understand. They are not ready to accept any faults. But I am really surprised when women think like that. They love and respect men so much, that even they are ready to take all the blame. Sometimes parents do this when their girl and boy fight or do any mistake. "Boys will be boys", this term has been created to ignore all wrong things that boys do. It's like, Girls, it's your mistake that boys did such a thing. Or from childhood, their mind has been created in this way that in Bangla they say, "Purush manush, or ki dosh? Oto emon ektu korbei. Shob dosh to oi meyer".

As long as we never get the real person, who is the real culprit, you can't think that crime will stop. Every time when anyone can get away, especially men. They will keep doing and thinking like that.

Who makes others successful?

When we see anything, we first judge by its look. That's very natural. Like we try to have an idea of how a book will be by its cover. Though we all know, this can't be a good judgement, but we still do. Our brain is like that. Before it sees or understands the whole thing, it started to have an idea with whatever information it got first or see first.

Another example can be a movie. In movies, it is not the actors who always work best or do the best. But when I see a movie in our mind we give all credits to them. They became the most famous in the movie. But they couldn't do the movie all by themselves. There are other people who are working behind and make or help to make the total movie success.

Now, let's come to the main point. We always see people who are successful in life. In most cases, they were not alone who make them successful. We all know about scientist Albert Einstein. He could concentrate on his work and work better after having his second wife. She wasn't a scholar. But she loves him enough to take good care of him and let him concentrate or work better. No one will say she was successful. But she helped a man to be more successful.

Most of the woman do whatever it needs to do to make other (Husband, kids, brother, lover and father etc) successful. It's very rare that you will find a woman who doesn't care about these people, but concentrate on her own success. After caring for all, it is very difficult to take some time for any person's own. But by using this limited-time there are some women who are successful. This situation is very rare for a man. If women didn't need to think about cooking, managing household work and problems, I'm sure they could do better. I am not saying they shouldn't have done this, if they don't look family like this, no one is going to do so, the family life will be scattered.

Today I am saluting those women also, who may not look like to have a successful life, but they made others life successful. Happy International women's day.

Some people think women are not good enough like men.

I have both male and female friends. I talk, discuss and enjoy their conversations. When I hang out with male friends, sometimes they forget a female is with them, and they just talk about any topic. When I spend time with female friends, in most cases, they talk about the facts of males which someone has experienced.

But I have seen male friends mostly just make their own judgments about women. The examples are very few and in most cases not related. They just think, they know about women and women are not good enough like men. Even a few women also think like this.

Let me give you an example. When I was studying at the University, a song became very popular in Bangladesh, "Buri hoilam tor karone...(Because of you, I became old/weak)". A female was singing the song because she was not getting the same payment as men. She was working as construction labour.

One of our University teachers told us in the class, how foolish is this! A woman can't work like a man, look at the physical difference between them! How come she expects the same payment as men. This was his Assumption.

I get to hear from a known contractor that they always try to recruit as many women as labour as possible. Because women work better, they are easy to manage, they don't waste much time on smoking and they accept less payment. For their own benefit contractors want women labour. And this is the fact, not an assumption.

I have talked with a 12-year-old boy. He was thinking that men are better cooks than women. I asked him, why? Because most of the chefs are men. When a woman can cook well, she stays home and cooks for her family and relatives. No one wants them to take a profession as a chef. When a man cooks well, people will encourage him to become a chef. If you look, most of the chef's wife and mother cooks better than them. If you look at any cooking competition, you will see both male-female are doing well. The boy checked cooking shows and said, actually women are good at it.

We are still stuck in 1950s

While changing TV channels found a good movie “Mona Lisa smile” showing and couldn't stop myself to watch it. Here they showed women’s thoughts and social placement at 1950s at US. I surprised and felt that our women’s thought and social conditions are still stuck in 1950s. Most of the women still think like that and almost all boys treat their wife like that.
