Which is more powerful?

What is more powerful to change anything, Fear? Because of fear people may do many things. But still there are some changes which you can’t change or keep by fear, then? I think love. You are laughing, right? Yes, I think love has the strongest power. Because of love people willingly do many things which may even harmful for them. But they don’t care or nothing can stop them. They will do everything for love with pleasure.

Let’s give you a simple example. When you try to make understand your kid, which power works better? When you make them do anything by giving fear of anything, they may do it, but they won’t do it happily and after some time they won’t feel fear about it. Also they will get many bad impressions. But when you make them understand with love, they will listen always, and will have respect and love for you and other. Good for everyone. It may not be easy, to make understand by love, but it worth it.

My likeness on glasses

My son also likes to wear glasses. Still don’t know how to wear or manage it, but he tries. Here he was 1 year and 7 months old.

I like glasses (spectacles). Whenever I see any person with glass, without any reason a good feeling generate about them. When I was a student I wish to wear glasses. Sometimes I thought I will buy a zero power spectacles and will start using. Somehow couldn't manage it.

In my career life I start facing problems in my eyes, then went to a doctor. He suggests me to wear glasses. Allah knows, how much happy I was. I started using glasses. I bought the lighted frame that was available in the shop. Actually my father bought it for me. But then the problem started. No, not in my eyes, problem started with my nose. I start feeling pain on nose. I discuss it with my sisters (who also wear glasses). They said its nothing, within 3 or 4 months you will forget about it. Fine, I tried for 9 months. And the pain increases day by day. Even now, if I think about glasses I start feeling pain on my nose. So, said good bye to glasses.

But I still like people who wear glasses. They look intellectual, aren't they? My son also likes to wear glasses. Still don’t know how to wear or manage it, but he tries. 

সেন্ট মার্টিনস ভ্রমনের জন্য মজার গাইড।

পর্যটন নগরী বলতে যা বোঝায়, সেটা বাংলাদেশের একটি মাত্র এলাকাতে আছে। আর সেটা হলো কক্সবাজার। কয়েকদিন আগেই গিয়েছিলাম। যতবারই গিয়েছি, প্রত্যেকবারই জায়গাটায় কোন না কোন কিছু নতুন পেয়েছি। খুব দ্রুত বদলাচ্ছে এই কক্সবাজার শহর।

এখন গেলে দেখবেন রাস্তার পাশ ধরে সারি সারি হোটেল, রেস্টুরেন্ট আর টুরিস্ট কোম্পানী, আর প্রায় সবাই সেন্ট মার্টিনস দ্বীপ, বান্দরবান, রাংগামাটি ঘুরিয়ে দেখানোর প্যাকেজ নিয়ে বসে আছে।

আমরা ভাবলাম (মানে আমাদের গ্রুপ) একদিনে সেন্টমার্টিনস ঘুরে আসি। এক ইজি বাইক ওয়ালা বুদ্ধি দিল। বলল, প্যাকেজ কোম্পানিই আপনাকে হোটেল থেকে তুলে নিবে, জাহাজে উঠিয়ে দিবে, দ্বীপ ঘোরাবে আর আবার আপনাকে হোটেলে নামিয়ে দিবে। আমাদের গ্রুপ লিডার এমন আরামের বর্ননা শুনে আর দেরি করলো না। হোটেলের সামনের যে টুরিস্ট কোম্পানীটা ছিল তাদের সাথেই যোগাযোগ করে সব কিছু ফাইনাল করে ফেললেন।

তখন কেয়ারী সিন্দবাদ মাত্র চালু হয়েছে, মানে সেপ্টেম্বরের শেষের দিকে। আর কোন জাহাজ নেই তখনও। সবাই সকাল ৭টার মধ্যে ছোট একটা ব্যাগে এক প্রস্থ শুকনো কাপড় নিয়ে রেডি হয়ে হোটেলের সামনে দাড়িয়ে রইল। আমি শুধু শাফিনের (আমার সাড়ে ৩ বছরের ছেলে) কাপড় নিলাম। আমার স্বামী কয়েকবার গাইগুই করলো, ওর জন্যও কাপড় নেয়ার জন্য। আমি ওকে মনে করিয়ে দিলাম, ও সব সময় বলে আমি বেশি কাপড় নিয়ে লাগেজ ভারি করে ফেলি। অতএব ওর আর কিছু বলার রইল না। আসলে সাগরের পানিতে ভিজে, কাপড় গায়েই শুকিয়ে ফেলা উচিত। কারন মিস্টি পানিতে গোসল না করা পর্যন্ত গায়ের বালি যাবে না। শুধু শুধু কাপড় পাল্টানোর মানে হয় না। আর সবার সামনে কাপড় বদলানো আমার পছন্দ না। সবচেয়ে বড় কথা সাগরের পানিতে ভিজে কারো অসুখ হয় না। এতো লেকচার শহরের মানুষকে দিয়ে লাভ নেই। তাই ওদের আর কিছু বললাম না।

৫ মিনিট লেট করে বাস এলো। এই প্রথম আমাদের ট্যুর গাইডকে দেখলাম। চিরকাল দেখে এসেছি, ট্যুর গাইডরা বকবক করে মাথা ধরিয়ে দেয়। সব জায়গায় সাথে থাকে আর তাড়া দেয় তাড়াতাড়ি চলুন। কিন্তু এবারকার মতো এতো ফ্লেক্সিবল ট্যুর গাইড আগে দেখিনি।

লোকাল বাস হলেও সিট কমফরটেবল ছিল। গাড়ি ছাড়ার পর ট্যুর গাইড বলল, নাস্তা এখন খাবেন না পরে বাস থেকে নেমে? আমি ভাবলাম, পরে আবার নাস্তার জন্য সময় নস্ট করবোনা, বললাম এখনই দিয়ে দিন। মেনু ডিম, ভাজি, পরোটা আর পানি (চা দেয়নি :( )। গাড়ি সুপার বেগে চলা শুরু করলো। মনে হলো রোলার কোস্টারে বসেছি। একবার ডানে, একবার বামে কাত হয়, আবার হার্ড ব্রেক কষে। আর মনে হলো, আমার পেটে কিছুক্ষন আগে যা ঢুকিয়েছি, তা বের হয়ে যাবে। গাড়ির পিছন থেকে লোকেরা কিছুক্ষন বাস ড্রাইভারকে তারপর তার হেলপারকে বকা দিতে লাগল। হেলপার ব্যাটা নাকি ঠিক মতোন ইন্স্ট্রাকশন দিচ্ছেনা তাই এই অবস্থা। জোরে ঝাকি খেলে সবাই এক সংগে "আসতে" বলে উঠছিল। এই অবস্থায়ও আমার হাসি চেপে রাখা মুশকিল হয়ে গিয়েছিল।

ঘাটে পৌছে দেখলাম জাহাজ ছাড়ার এখনও অনেক দেরি। ব্যাটা শুধু শুধু এমন জোরে চালিয়েছে।

জাহাজে উঠে আমার ছেলে দুটো খুব ভালভাবে জিনিস শিখলো, এক জাহাজ সবাইকে নিয়ে পানির উপর দিয়ে চলে, পানির ভিতরে চলে যায় না। দুই, জাহাজেও বাথরুম আছে।

এখানে একবারও আমাদের ট্যুর গাইড দর্শন দেয়নি। তার দেখা পেলাম সেন্ট মার্টিনস এ নেমে। বলল, আপনারা সোজা চলে যান, রেস্টুরেন্ট পাবেন, খেয়ে নিন, এরপর সোজা সাগরে চলে যান, ওখান থেকে হেটে হুমায়ুন আহমেদের বাড়ির কাছে চলে যাবেন, তারপর ভ্যান নিয়ে জাহাজে চলে আসবেন। বলে সে চলে গেল।

আমি আমার স্বামীর মুখের দিকে তাকালাম, এতো মহাফাকিবাজ ট্যুর গাইড। ব্যাটা আমাদের ছেড়ে দিয়ে নিজে রেস্ট নিচ্ছে। তবে সে একেবারে আমাদের পানিতে ভাসিয়ে দেয় নি। একটা ছোট পিচ্চিকে দিয়ে দিয়েছে রাস্তা দেখানোর জন্য।

পরে দেখলাম এই পিচ্চি যথেস্ট ভাল গাইড। সে আমাদের ব্যাগ ক্যারি করেছে, যখন আমরা পানিতে নেমেছি, ছবি তুলে দিয়েছে। ছবিও সে ইনস্ট্রাকশন দিয়ে তুলে। আমাকে বলল, সপরিবারে পাথরের উপর দাড়াতে, তারপর ছবি তুলে দিল। ডাব খাওয়ার সময় ছবি তুলছিল। আমি স্ট্র মুখ থেকে নামিয়ে নিতেই বলল, খেতে থাকুন, মুখে দেয়ার পর ছবি তুলব।

সেন্টমার্টিনসের একমাত্র যান ভ্যান গাড়িটে জাহাজে ফেরার সময় বলল, এ ছাড়া এখানে আর কিছু চলে না। মিনিস্টার আসলেও ভ্যানে চলতে হবে।

লেখন হুমায়ুন আহমেদ সম্পর্কে বলল অনেক দিন আসেন নি। তবে ওনার বাসা শাওন ভাড়া দেয়।

জাহাজে করে ফিরে বাসে ওঠার সময় আবার আমাদের পুরাতন গাইডের দেখা মিলল। ইজি বাইক ওয়ালা ঠিকই বলেছে। ওরা আমাদের আবার হোটেলের সামনে নিয়ে দিয়েছিল।

Thought about Hortal (strike)

My son (4 years old) asked, do we have hortal today or I can go to school. I replied, today is hortal. He start saying, that means people will put fire beside the main road of school to stop people, going to school, at night all fire will automatically stop and in the mean time people will cook their meal with the fire.

I understood, he had got this idea about fire from TV news and he added the cooking idea to make a use of fire. Good thinking, we can apply this, we shouldn’t waste any power.

Managing school bag

Here Shafeen 4 years and 1 month old.

He was 1 year and 7 months old.

Shafeen (my 4 years old son) was trying to pull out the school bag from his teddy bear. He was 1 year and 7 months old. Now he has grown up enough to pull out his own school bag from his shoulder. 

আবার বাংলায় লিখছি।

অনেকদিন হলো বাংলায় ব্লগ লিখিনা। আমি এমন কোন গুরুত্বপুর্ন লিখা লিখিনা যে লিখতেই হবে। তারপরও বাংলায় না লিখে ঠিক ভালো লাগছিলোনা। তাই আবার শুরু করলাম বাংলায় লিখা। কেউ পড়ুক না পড়ুক, আমি লিখে শান্তি পাই তাই লিখে যাই :)

To get happiness in mind

Shafeen liked this uncle(paternal) so much that he didn't go to another chair.

We always want love from others. Other’s love makes us happy. That means our happiness depends on other’s attitude. If they don’t love us or hurt us, we will be unhappy. Can we come out from this situation? I don’t know.

But one thing we can do, we can love other people, the people around us or staying far away. If we love other, without any expectation (well, it’s difficult). This will give peace in mind, another kind of happiness. For this we don’t need to cry for other’s mercy. 

Shafeen became very happy

When you have very little expectation, you can be happier. Sometimes very small things, can give you happiness of full of heart. You can see my son Shafeen became very happy, after getting a white dot (by cream) from his elder aunt (Sharmin). I can remember when I was a child I use to design my face (we all sisters use to do this) with white dots (by cold cream) like a bride (that was the tradition of those days bridal makeup). Every time I took cream on face, I made a new design.

When you have brand name, you should focus on quality

To save money, I generally shop from nearby store [in Bangladesh]. I went to shopping mall only to buy the things which is not available in general store. In the shopping malls, you will see, several sales people are available to help you. They are for you, with a nice smile. Good. In most cases I have seen they tries to give better product (like, when they are giving tomato, they will search for good ones and give you that), but sometimes they try to give you the faulty things. This is where I have objection. When I buy from footpath, I never complain with their product quality, I know, with their condition, they can’t give you good product. But I don’t expect this from shopping mall.

In “Agora” and “Meena Bazar” I found problem very few time, but I have big complain with “Shopno”. “Shopno” has more branches than any other; they can be more popular than others. But whenever I visit there I found they try to give faulty things, not give free products by themselves (you have to ask them).  If you have responsibility then you have to be honest and careful.

Today I went to “Shopno” at Malibagh (my sister suggested). My son has chosen a helicopter. I asked them to run it that I can check whether it is in good condition or not. They said no worry, everything is good. When I was at payment counter, I asked again to run it once. They did but on that moment I was busy with paying the bill and collecting all goods. My son (4 years old) checked the toy with them. I saw propellers are not working fine, I told them, and they replied its ok, just need to adjust bla bla bla.  At home, I found one propeller is broken.
