প্রকৃতি থেকে বিনা পরিশ্রমে পায় বলেই ধরে নিয়েছে সব সময়ই পাবে (They get it from nature, so take it for granted)

ভৌগোলিক কারনে বাংলাদেশের আবহাওয়া বেশ ভালো। এখানে সারা বছরই প্রচুর বৃষ্টি পরে. এখানকার বৃষ্টির পানি পরিস্কার (দুষন মুক্ত). বাংলাদেশের মধ্যে প্রবাহিত হচ্ছে প্রচুর নদী. এবং অধিকাংশই মিষ্টি পানির নদী.

এরপরও এদেশে রয়েছে সুপেয় পানির অভাব. কারন মানুষের সচেতনতার অভাব. যেহেতু প্রকৃতি থেকে তারা বিনা পরিশ্রমে সব সময় পানি পেয়ে আসছে, তাই এর গুরুত্ব অনেক কম এদেশের মানুসের। জনসংখ্যা বৃদ্ধির সাথে সাথে নদী নালা সব ভরে ঘরবাড়ি, রাস্তা এসব তৈরী করে যাচ্ছে। নদীতে যত্রতত্র নানা আবর্জনা ফেলছে। ফসলের কীটনাশক বৃষ্টির পানিতে ধুয়ে নদীতে পড়ছে। নানা কলকারখানার বিষাক্ত পদার্থ নদীতে ফেলা হচ্ছে। পানির প্রবাহ কমে যাওয়ায় নদীতে পলি জমে নদী ভরে যাচ্ছে। ইত্যাদি নানা কারনে নদীর পানি ধীরে ধীরে দুর্লভ হয়ে উঠছে।

সব শহরের মানুষই তাই পানির কস্ট পান। এদিকে প্রচুর বৃষ্টিপাত হলেও এর পানি ধরে রাখার কোন ব্যবস্থা এদেশে নেই. শহরে প্রচুর বড় ভবন আছে।  এখানকার ছাদকে আমরা সহজেই পানি ধরে রাখার জন্য ব্যবহার করতে পারি। মজা পুকুর গুলো পরিস্কার করে, আরো গভীর করে পানি ধরার ব্যবস্থা করতে পারি। এমনকি বাড়িতে বাড়িতে বালতি বোল দিয়েই পানি ধরে রাখতে পারি, কিন্তু এসবে এদেশের মানুষের আগ্রহ নেই। অথচ সবাই পানির কষ্ট পাচ্ছে।

Because of geographical location Bangladesh got God gifted good weather. Whole year we have rain here. The rain water is clean and healthy (no chemical). Lots of river and channel are passing through Bangladesh and most of their water is good (not salty).

But still people of this country faces drinking water (fresh water) problem. Though they use to get water from nature without any work, they take it for granted. So, they are not aware to save good water. As population is growing very fast in this area people are covering many low land or pond to make houses and roads. Here people are throwing all dirt into the river (including dead cow), rain water drains all pesticide to the water, even chemicals from the factories also dump into the river. River flow current reducing day by day, which drops mud on river basin. So, for many reasons clear water is becoming rare to this country.

As a result, all cities are facing water problem. But still people are not taking any initiative to catch rain water. In the cities there are many big and wide buildings; people can easily use these roofs to catch rain water. People can clean ponds and other water holder to hold enough water for their needs. Even at homes people can hold water simply by using big bowls. But people are so use to get water from nature that they don't even think to utilize nature's water or store for dry season.
