Biography 332: Sleeping issues.

Once upon a time, I didn't have any problem sleeping. It's not that I could sleep anywhere, like in a chair or a new place. But if I had a good sleeping environment, I didn't have any trouble sleeping. After dinner, sometimes I wanted to watch TV, sometimes my parents let me, and sometimes not. But when I went to my bed, I could sleep.

Now things have changed. Sometimes I can manage to get to bed on time, but most of the time I can't sleep. I try to relax, but nothing works. Then I have to get up and start working without sleep. Again, I try at bedtime, but nothing works. Sometimes, after a few days, I can. I have accepted my new condition. I don't always have to be perfect. I might have some trouble in my life.

When your brain started eating itself

Working day and night without proper sleep isn't new for me, and it's not new for women. Women with a kid, family, or a career are used to this situation.

I heard that when we can't sleep properly, our brain starts eating itself. Maybe my brain is doing that, too. I am thinking, why don't you eat all my sad memories?

I just can't sleep

Sometimes this happens to me, I just can't sleep. Am I stressing about anything? No. Did I sleep in the daytime? No. Physically having trouble or pain? No. Then Allah knows why.

Sometimes I can't sleep for days. Once for 4 days, I was continuously waking. To force me to get to sleep, for four days I worked non-stop. So, that my body physically became tired and fall asleep.

Maybe this is why people get addicted to sleeping pills.

Eating and sleeping

My mom uses to say, “Eating and sleeping, these two habits will increase as much as you let it and will decrease as much as you control it.”
I found it true, in most cases. Though, if I’m assured that I can eat my favorite foods as much as I want, no harm will happen, I think, I can eat like a rhinoceros and sleep like lioness.
But you know, that’s not true. After making a good food and sleep habit, you won’t feel good to make any indiscipline in your life. And when you see yourself better, feel better, you will continue doing like that.

Still I don’t want to change my food habit, no interest in exercise. I have no hope to look better :)

ঘুম (Sleep)

[English version has given below]

For some people, sleeping isn't any big matter. After sleeping 14 hours, if they think next day they won't have any chance to sleep at night, they will go to bed and fall in sleep again. I really surprised with their ability.

Once I could sleep without any interval. And also can awake for days when needed. But after having a baby everything gets changed. My son sometimes woke up me within 30 minutes of sleeping. As he is doing this every day I sleeping cycle broke totally. When my son sleeps I can sleep but within 4 hours automatically I woke up and then can't sleep again.

After this disaster in sleep, my brain condition became terrible. Now a day I really felt trouble to do work with full concentration. I am trying my best to make everything normal again.

Khoka ghumalo, para juralo

Shafeen was 2 months and 23 days old.

When my son awakens, I couldn't do anything but looking after him. I had got some time to eat, bath or do other thing when he fall in sleep. On that moment the only poem comes in my mind is “khoka  ghumao, para juralo”, if I translate it, I can say “baby fall in sleep and area got relived”.

Shafeen’s mini bed

Shafeen sleeping inside the bed

My mother gave a mini, hanging bed with wheels to Shafeen (my 3 and half years old son) after his born. On those days he use to sleep with me, so didn’t use the bed much. But now he grown up and can’t sleep in that small bed. But now he likes the bed very much. Several times he told me to give him the bed as I stored it in different place. I told him, I will clean up the bed first (someday) then will give to you.

I don’t know when I can sleep well again

Shafeen likes to play game over cell phone, at bed time

When a baby comes in life, most of the mothers first face the sleeping problem. Then it depends on your child, when it will let you sleep at night.

Shafeen (my 3 years old son) made a lot of trouble when he was a new born baby. Then after one year things became fine. Now a day his sleeping time rotates. Sometimes he sleeps at night, then start sleeping in the morning then….. And I had to face problem with my regular life. I can’t sleep properly at night. So, can’t awake at Fazar prayer. Then whole day felt sleepy, again at night had to give time to him. I hope this rotation will change soon.

Fighting with Sleep

Doctors gave me some medicine to take regularly. And like a very good girl I am taking regularly and now it’s became very difficult to keep concentrate on my work, just thinking when can sleep….
