বাসের জানালা দিয়ে নেপাল (Nepal, from the window of our bus)

কাকরভিটা (ভারত নেপাল সীমান্ত) থেকে পোখরা প্রায় ৪৫০ কি:মি: পথ। ভোর ৪টায় রওনা দিয়ে রাত ৮:৩০ এ পৌছলাম। আর এই দীর্ঘ বাস ভ্রমনের মধ্য দিয়েই নেপাল সম্পর্কে প্রাথমিক ধারনা পেলাম। যেমন:

- নেপালের লোকজন খুব ভোরে মর্নিং ওয়াক করতে পছন্দ করে, আমি সূর্য ওঠার আগে থেকেই দেখলাম দলে দলে লোক রাস্তা দিয়ে দৌড়াচ্ছে।

- গ্রামের অনেক মানুষ সাইকেলে চলাচলে অভ্যস্ত। একবার আমাদের বাস রাস্তা আটকা পড়ল এক টেম্পু আর সাইকেল আরোহীর গন্ডগোলের কারনে।

- এই রুটে সব একই ধরনের বাস চলাচল করে, যেগুলোর সামনের দিকে না বসলে প্রচন্ড ঝাকুনিতে হাড় মাংস মোটামুটি এক হয়ে যাবার সম্ভাবনা আছে। কারন আমার ধারনা পিছনের চাকায় এরা স্প্রিং দেয়ার প্রয়োজন বোধ করেনি।

- সত্য কলসি নামের এক বিশাল সেতু পার হতে হয়, বিশাল সেতু মানে বিশাল এক নদী পার হতে হয়। যার স্রোত অনেক বেশি। সেতুটা আবার এল শেপ। মাঝের জয়েন্টটা বোধহয় দ্বীপ।

- রাস্তাটা কয়েকবার জংগলের মাঝ দিয়ে চলে গিয়েছে। তবে বানর ছাড়া আর কিছু সামনে আসেনি।

- অধিকাংশ বাড়িই দোতলা। সেটা, ইটের, মাটির বা কুড়ে ঘর যাই হোক না কেন।

- পাহাড়ের কাছের এলাকায় প্রায়ই পাহাড়ি ঢল বা ঝড়না নেমে রাস্তা ভেংগে দিয়েছে।

- মানুষরা বেশ পোশাক সচেতন। গ্রামের মেয়ে জিনস, ম্যাক্সি, স্কার্ট পরে চলাফেরা করছে

- মেয়েরা বেশ সচ্ছন্দে বাস থামাচ্ছে জংগলের মাঝে, ফ্রী হয়ে নেবার জন্য

We had to cross 450 km road from Kakarbhitta (India-Nepal border area) to Pokhra in Nepal. We started at 4 am in the morning and reached at Pokhra at 8.30 pm and with this long bus tour I had got my first idea about Nepal. Like:

- People from Nepal likes morning walk very much. Because I have seen before sunrise lots of people come out from home and running beside the roads.

- Villagers favorite vehicle is bicycle. Even once our bus had to stop because of a bicycle and Tempu (Auto rickshaw) problem. 

- In this route almost all buses are same. If you can't sit at the beginning rows your bones may definitely broken by the jerking of the road. They bus manufacture company may forget to add spring on the back wheel.

- We found a very long river bridge named "Shatya kalsi". Long bridge means very Wide River with heavy current. The interesting point is this bridge is 'L' shaped. At the joint of the L there might be something like island.

- Few times we had to cross jungle, though we saw only monkeys.

- Most of the houses are 2 storied building. No matter in which material they build in. Like wooden, mud, cement etc.

- We saw near hilly area, roads are broken probably by the high current water came from the hill.

- People from Nepal are very well dressed. Even in the village girls are wearing skirt, maxi, jeans etc.

- Girls don't feel hesitate to stop the bus at the jungle to become fresh...
