Biography 173: Hotel Nirala, Mymensingh

From the left side, I, Ranta, Shumi, Pratul, Reza and Urmi. They were playing ludu (Board game), and Urmi was changing the film in the camera. We didn't have a digital camera. The bottle had water.

During our 2nd year educational trip to Halua Ghat, we stayed in Mymensingh. Our friends in the management team booked 2 hotels for us to stay. Because they couldn't find rooms for everyone in the same hotel. The hotels were standing side by side beside the road. We could literally talk from one hotel's balcony to another.

All girls stayed in the Nirala Hotel. We liked our 2 beds room very much. Especially since they had a cute little closet. Sohel took a lot of pictures inside his room. Even he had given pose inside that closet too. On every floor where girls were staying, one room was for boys, just in case of emergency. The rest of the boys stayed at the other hotel. Later Pratul showed his disagreement about this hotel distribution. He said their hotel room is 5 takas cheaper. He disagrees with this discrimination.

I, Shumi, Ranta and Sharmin (Dancer) stayed in the same room. When we were free, sometimes we kept our room door open a little so that if anyone in our class wanted, they could come and have time with us. Whenever I did that, many friends came to our room and enjoyed time by playing games (Ludu) or just hanging out and talking. Finally, I had to keep the door closed so we could rest after all our tour work. But we enjoyed time with everyone.

There was a lovely view from the rooftop of the hotel. We could see the city with a beautiful mosque and temple.

We used to eat food together in the dining room. One night, the power was gone during our dinner time. The restaurant management put candles on each table. So, we had candle light dinner. All memories are amazing now.
