Sometimes, when I hear the music as a piece of background music or listen from a little far away, from where I can just hear the melody. At that moment, I couldn't understand the lyrics. But based on the tune I heard, I assume it's a sad or romantic song. If I like it, I search for the actual song with lyrics. Sometimes, it surprises me that such a romantic melody song, which I liked very much, is actually sad.
Let me give you an example, I heard this music in the TV serial "Friends". When Rachel and Ross first get together in the museum. Is it a love song? Or telling at the end it will break your heart. Why did they put this song in a romantic moment?
