Some people are mad at you

“Some people are mad at you because they made the mistake of underestimating you. They threw you under the bus, and you survived.”

This happened so many times. I don't complain about others' activities, and they think I don't know how to speak; I don't understand what they did? Sometimes just get surprised. What is going on? How do I stay normal after what they did with me?

That is me. I don't feel good about taking revenge. I used to help them if I could, stay with them, and tolerate their behaviour. 

Now a day, I am tired. So, I am just avoiding all dramas.

Biography 167: Spending time in between classes.

 At the University of Dhaka, I found some of our classes are in the morning, some in the afternoon. The practical classes were in the afternoon. There must be a good reason behind it, which I didn't know. We couldn't go home after the morning class; we had to spend the rest of the day at the University for the next class.

Students living in the hall (dormitory) can quickly go to their room, use the washroom, take lunch, rest and then return to class. What will happen to those students who didn't get any room in the hall? Students who have a home in Dhaka city don't get a room in the hall. Our home isn't that close that I can think to go home and come back.

I was lucky that one of our close friends had a room in the ShamsunNahar hall. The closest hall to our department. So, we used to go to her room, spend the day together then return to class. Murshida Akhter, She was a lifesaver in those days.

Eid Mubarak, 2023

 Eid Mubarak to you all.

This year, I have made a checked curry with Porota and Lachchha Semai for Eid breakfast. Then I had planned many more, but couldn't do anything.

Tomorrow is the day to hop around; let's see how it goes.

The world is travelling to you

 In Canada, you don't need to travel the world to interact with people who may seem different; The world is travelling to you.

These words go with the city of Toronto mostly. People from around the world are coming to live in Canada. The majority of them are choosing Toronto to live with. This city became very diverse because of the multicultural people worldwide. You will see every country's people and restaurants in this city. If you just walk, you can never understand which country you are in. All blended into one nation, Canada.

In work, college or any leisure centre, you will meet and interact with people with different cultural backgrounds, education, experience, etc. It's a fantastic place.

Every good thing has some side effect. Sometimes people make a wrong impression by watching someone who is doing wrong. People will think that country people are evil. Actually, it's that person's personal behaviour. Here you represent yourself, your country, your culture, and even your religion. So, be friendly like a Canadian and be humble with everyone. And watch the world's culture in your neighbour.

People make time for you when they are alone

"People don't make time for you when you are alone; they make time for you when they are alone."

It's a busy life. Everyone is busy with their work, study or any other staff. And sometimes we miss people we like. Generally, I don't communicate with people without any reason. They might be busy, and I may interrupt or disturb them in their work. So, I let them contact me in their own time. I will adjust my time for them.

Biography 166: Assignments

 In our department, we needed to draw lots of maps. In practical courses, we had to draw many things, had show creativity for assignments. I was very poor at drawing. So, I started feeling troubled. My work didn't look good. 

Some of our classmate's artwork was very good. They used to help others. I never took anyone's help. Why would I? Like I can't do anything? Whatever I can, I will do it myself. My work should represent me, not anyone else. I may have some Ego problems.

It's time to stop violence in computer games.

We see different separated violence in general, people who don't know the attacker or the attacker doesn't know the victim. They are unknown to each other. Mosty somebody attack with a gun or a knife. Why is the same kind of attack everywhere?

Did you notice what kind of video games people play nowadays? Mostly they use different kinds of guns, which looks like real one, and they attack with any sharp object. The same way people are attacking others. In some games, people must go up several stages to achieve different kinds of sharp weapons to attack. Killing and striking are the main goals of these games. The person who is playing that person can't think of anything else but to shoot someone.

I think it's time to stop violence in video games. They can't just make any kind of violence and spread it to people to earn money.

Biography 165: Speaking in the class

 I have studied in combined (Boys and Girls) classes from nursery to grade 4. Then I went to the girl's school and college. I came in the combined classes at the University of Dhaka.

Did I miss boys in these years? NO. I had already decided not to marry, so I avoided being emotionally involved with any boys. I didn't care whether I was with boys or girls. I spoke with all in the same way. As I am a religious person. I don't touch or show my body to boys.

Before joining the classes, I decided to talk with everyone, whoever sat beside me. I knew I was an introverted person. If I keep quiet in class, people will misunderstand me. So, I pushed myself so that at least I had a classmate in the class with whom I could spend time.

Later I found this was a bad idea. In most cases, boys thought I started loving him, and that's why trying to make a conversation. No, this wasn't the university boys' situation. Whenever I talk with anyone, that person feels I am in love with them.

This way, I have had some conversations with each person in the class. So, the course became very comfortable for me. I could talk with anyone whenever needed.

Real Canada?

 People say Canada isn't as lovely as they pretend. They show the world they are nice, so people will come to their land and work for them. They need workers.

This is maybe somewhat true. However, we need to see the whole scenario, not just one page. People can stay in Canada and become Canadian. Then they can vote for or select the prime minister of Canada. This is a big thing to share.

There are many countries where you can live for as many years as you can work. After that, no matter how many generations you are living there, they will kick you out. Forget about voting or any other rights.
