Biography 208: Colors thrown to people, when Bangladeshi Cricket Team Won.

It was a big day in Bangladeshi Cricket history when they got Test Status. On that day, another thing happened in Bangladesh, mainly in Dhaka. People started throwing paint at other people. It would be good if they continued doing this among friends and family. But people got crazy and started throwing people all over the road. Some may work in the office, go to pray to master, go to school, etc.

On the road, people started throwing liquid colour to all passersby walking or moving in a rickshaw, car, or bus. First, maybe they had tap water with them to mix the colour with it. Then they started taking water from the drain, colouring it, and throwing it at the people. It didn't remain fun for all people. Many people were kind of harassed by this kind of activity, especially ladies.

It was a big victory day for Bangladesh, so eventually, people forgave this activity. At least no action had been taken.

We four sisters went out that day. Three of us came back home clean—I mean without any colour—except my fourth sister, Shekha. She was on the rickshaw with her friends coming back home. The rickshaw was in the Shahjahanpur Railway Colony (Government Residencial Area). Some boys threw buckets of colour on them.

Now, I want to tell my history. I was in the Department of Geography & Environment at the University of Dhaka. We were on the second level of our department building, at our class. Then the news came with the color-throwing event. Some boys ran outside to collect colours to throw them on the girls. All the girls were scared and tried to run away. I, along with some other girls, ran to the library and closed the door.

Some boys came, including one of our classmates, Tulon. Because another classmate, Tinni, was shouting continuously, "Tulon, don't do this, stop it!." Well, that gives Tulon more courage to continue their activities. They tried to break the lock by pushing the door. Some girls, including me, tried to push back the door so that they couldn't get inside. Tulon used his brain 200% and a steal ruler to open the lock. Then he gave a big push to the door. When I was alone, I was trying to keep it close, so I couldn't.

All entered together in the room. I screamed and hid my face with my hands. I don't know why; nobody touched me or threw any colour on me. They were using dry colours. They ran inside the room and found girls who were hiding below the table or behind the shelves and through colours on them. I was shocked and standing at the front door. Then they all go outside.

I was thinking, how did I get relieved? Anyway, from the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of them. I don't know who they were; their faces were covered with colours. I just know that one of them was Tulon.

Then, I waited inside the library for a couple of hours to stop this colour game. I took a rickshaw and came back home. On the way, I saw colours everywhere. In the Matijhil, all cars were coloured, all roads had colour marks, and buildings had colour marks. I saw some forceful colouring activities beside the roads too.  Luckily, my rickshaw poller used 300% of his brain, he rode fast and kept our rickshaw in the middle so that they didn't try to attack me. I came back home clean.

Ho, bade sab kehte hai yeh (Ho, All say like that)

Chuno ache humsaaye (You should always choose the right partner)

Interpersonal Communication and Social Media

“Follow rules,” “Soft speaker,” and “EMC (Electronically Mediated Communication) communicator.”

-          Interpersonal communication is governed by the following rules:

Communication researcher Susan Shimanoff said the rule is a “Followable prescription that indicates what behaviour is obligated, preferred, or prohibited in certain contexts.”

From her explanation, I learned that I am a person who always tries to “follow the rules.” If I have an assignment to complete, I try to follow the rules step by step to ensure I am making things right. I will do the work that I am supposed to do early and then proceed to the next step.

-          Interpersonal Communication Involves Both Content and Relationship Dimensions:

Every communication has two sides: Content and Relationship Dimensions. Content refers to the exact words we say to others. Relationship Dimensions include all other aspects that influence the Content or terms we use, like tone of voice (how we make eye contact, facial expression, and posture).

I don’t particularly appreciate hurting people and shouting at anyone. I feel awful if, somehow, I did so. That’s why I always speak softly, even when I become outraged. I keep my facial expressions regular if I talk, and I mostly try to speak with a smile. So, if I had to use any strong word, I like to deliver it in a pleasant or good way so that the other person doesn’t get hurt and can understand what I am saying. Sometimes, people misunderstand me because of my style of talking. They think they can say anything to me, and I won’t be able to do anything about it. Maybe I am a soft-spoken person, but I am not weak. However, I take decisive actions when there is no way to solve a problem because I don’t particularly appreciate hurting people. No matter what they do with me.

-          Interpersonal Communication and Social Media

Nowadays, we can communicate interpersonally with anyone on the Internet without meeting them. Or we can post something online, and friends, family, and others can also view it and respond on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Here, we have two types of communication. One is direct communication, which we use through WhatsApp, Messenger, Facetime, or email. Another one is we post some information now, and people may check it out or not view it at all. Here, we use Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, or Instagram. I like both kinds of communication. Mostly, I use Facebook. I regularly post something on it.

I have started using social media by writing a blog, which is a part of Electronically Mediated Communication (EMC). That was a corporate blog from my job. Then, I started writing on my personal blog. Still, whenever I get time, I write blog posts. Nowadays, I mostly use Facebook. I like Facebook because, through this social media, I connect with my family (Most of them are in my home country), friends, classmates, colleagues (from different countries and different companies), online friends, and some followers. Without meeting with them, I can communicate and share my life (Photos, videos, and thoughts). Sometimes, we arrange to get together via Facebook. I know it could become my addiction and take all my time. So, I restricted myself from using Facebook all the time. I only sit to post and check others’ posts while having morning or evening tea.

It doesn’t mean I don’t like or do face-to-face communication. But everyone is busy, and I don’t know who will have free time when. Everybody on Facebook comes to their own flexible time and sends messages on my post. When I check, I reply.

Sometimes, I join my friends and family in face-to-face contact, and I enjoy those times most. But it has become rare, as it is challenging to make time to chat in person.

Song: Brown girl in the ring by Boney M.

Brown Girl in the Ring is a traditional children's song in the islands of the West Indies. It is said to have originated in Jamaica [1] as part of the children's game, also known as "Brown Girl in the Ring." The song's lyrics instruct the game's performance: a girl enters the ring, formed by children holding hands, and performs a dance.

The song became internationally known when it was recorded by the Euro-Caribbean vocal group Boney M. in 1978.

Singer: Liz Mitchell

Lyrics:

Brown girl in the ring

Tra la la la la

There's a brown girl in the ring

Tra la la la la la

Brown girl in the ring

Tra la la la la

She looks like a sugar in a plum

Plum plum

Show me your motion

Tra la la la la

Come on show me your motion

Tra la la la la la

Show me your motion

Tra la la la la

She looks like a sugar in a plum

Plum plum

All had water run dry

Got no way to wash my clothes

All had water run dry

Got no way to wash my clothes

I remember one Saturday night

We had fried fish and Johnny-cakes

I remember one Saturday night

We had fried fish and Johnny-cakes

Beng-a-deng

Beng-a-deng

Brown girl in the ring

Tra la la la la

There's a brown girl in the ring

Tra la la la la la

Brown girl in the ring

Tra la la la la

She looks like a sugar in a plum

Plum plum

Show me your motion

Tra la la la la

Come on show me your motion

Tra la la la la la

Show me your motion

Tra la la la la

She looks like a sugar in a plum

Plum plum

All had water run dry

Got no way to wash my clothes

All had water run dry

Got no way to wash my clothes

I remember one Saturday night

We had fried fish and Johnny-cakes

I remember one Saturday night

We had fried fish and Johnny-cakes

Beng-a-deng

Beng-a-deng

Brown girl in the ring

Tra la la la la

See, brown girl in the ring

Tra la la la la la

Brown girl in the ring

Tra la la la la

She looks like a sugar in a plum

Plum plum

All had water run dry

Got no way to wash my clothes

All had water run dry

Got no way to wash my clothes

Brown girl in the ring

Tra la la la la

Look that brown girl in the ring

Tra la la la la la

Brown girl in the ring

Tra la la la la

She looks like a sugar in a plum

Elevators and escalators in all subway stations.

In Toronto, all subway stations don't have elevators or escalators, and they are not disabled-friendly. It is very difficult for a pregnant woman, a wounded person, an elderly or a disabled person to use transit. Sometimes, the escalators or elevators are out of order, and then there is no alternative system to help these people.

Toronto is for all kinds of people. We should gradually add elevators and escalators to all stations.

Released: 2015

Album: UP

Genre: Pop

Lyrics:

[Verse 1]

Once upon a time, there was a girl who made a wish

To find herself a love and finally make a switch

Then you came around, you healed another stitch

And I'm glad about that, I can finally make the switch

[Pre-Chorus]

And I know, yeah, I know

Many would like to be in my shoes

And I know, yeah, I know

With you, I got nothin' to lose

[Chorus]

When I'm down, you can bring me up

Up-p-p, up-p-p, up-p-p, up-p-p

And when I'm hurt, you know I don't need much

You can use that magic touch

When I'm down, you can bring me up

Up-p-p, up-p-p, up-p-p, up-p-p

And when I'm hurt, you know I don’t need much

You can use that magic touch

[Post-Chorus]

You can use that magic touch

You can use that magic touch

[Verse 2]

I was running all the time, babe, you came and slowed me down

It's me, myself and you now, I'm levitating off the ground

And when you came around, you healed another stitch

I was lost, but now you found me, I can finally make the switch

[Pre-Chorus]

And I know, yeah, I know

Many would like to be in my shoes

And I know, yeah, I know

With you, I got nothin' to lose

Up-p-p, up-p-p, up-p-p, up-p-p

And when I'm hurt, you know I don't need much

You can use that magic touch

When I'm down, you can bring me up

Up-p-p, up-p-p, up-p-p, up-p-p

And when I'm hurt, you know I don’t need much

You can use that magic touch

Biography 207: Restaurant in Bagerhat (Bangladesh)

Bagerhat is a beautiful small town in Bangladesh. It has rivers around the city and one 60 domes masjeed. The sweets of Bagerhat are very tasty and not comparable with others.

I have been there for our field tour in Masters from the University of Dhaka. During lunchtime, we found a restaurant near our hotel. We asked them for lunch. They bring rice and curry, but all of them are cold. I wondered if the taste wasn't good enough to eat. I asked them why they didn't serve warm food. The restaurant manager and other staff started laughing at us. They said you should have come when we cooked. Now, all became cold.

What kind of logic is that! I was surprised, but the confidently they said it, I didn't argue with them. Then we try another restaurant. Same result. There is no way that we can eat that food. Finally, we found a Chinese restaurant. The condition of that restaurant was very poor. The carpets were torn up here and there. I found only one person at the front desk, no other staff. He took our orders and went back inside. I guessed he was the cook, too.

But the food was first-class. It was very tasty and warm. After returning to the hotel, we informed all the other students about that restaurant where they could find something to eat. I guess for a couple of days, he had good business.

Song: Alone (P2) from Alan Walker

 Album: Alone, Pt. II (Remixes)

Released: 2020

Artists: Alan Walker, Ava Max

Featured artist: Ava Max

Lyrics

We were young, posters on the wall

Praying we're the ones that the teacher wouldn't call

We would stare at each other

'Cause we were always in trouble

And all the cool kids did their own thing

I was on the outside, always looking in

Yeah, I was there but I wasn't

They never really cared if I was in

We all need that someone

Who gets you like no one else

Right when you need it the most

We all need a soul to rely on

A shoulder to cry on

A friend through the highs and the lows

I'm not gonna make it alone

La-la-la-la-la la

La-la-la-la-la 'lone

I'm not gonna make it alone

La-la-la-la-la la

La-la-la-la-la 'lone

Then I saw your face, your forgiving eyes

Looking back at me from the other side

Like you understood me

And I'm never letting you go, oh

We all need that someone

Who gets you like no one else

Right when you need it the most

We all need a soul to rely on

A shoulder to cry on

A friend through the highs and the lows

I'm not gonna make it alone

La-la-la-la-la la

La-la-la-la-la 'lone

I'm not gonna make it alone

La-la-la-la-la la

La-la-la-la-la 'lone

I'm not gonna make it alone

La-la-la-la-la la

La-la-la-la-la 'lone

I'm not gonna make it alone

La-la-la-la-la la

La-la-la-la-la 'lone

I'm not gonna make it alone

La-la-la-la-la-la 'lone

I'm not gonna make it alone

La-la-la-la-la la

La-la-la-la-la 'lone

'Cause you are that someone

That gets me like no one else

Right when I need it the most

And I'll be the one you rely on

A shoulder to cry on

A friend through the highs and the lows

I'm not gonna make it alone

La-la-la-la-la la

La-la-la-la-la-la 'lone

I'm not gonna make it alone

La-la-la-la-la la

La-la-la-la-la-la 'lone

I'm not gonna make it alone

La-la-la-la-la la

La-la-la-la-la-la 'lone

I'm not gonna make it alone

La-la-la-la-la la

La-la-la-la-la-la 'lone

I'm not gonna make it alone

About me and why did I get this Diploma

My name is Shahana Shafiuddin. I was born in Bangladesh. Because of my parents' jobs, I lived in Saudi Arabia for two years during my childhood. Then I started living in Bangladesh again, and about eight years ago, I came to Canada, to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. So, I have seen different cultures and communities from my childhood.

I like to see new places. That's why, after getting a job, I visited Malaysia, India, Bhutan, Nepal, UAE, and Canada. I have seen different cultures and communities in these countries. One thing I found very common among all nations is that the general people are very nice.

I became a Canadian citizen and have lived in Canada for about eight years. I first lived in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, for six years, and then I moved to the GTA, Ontario.

I have Canadian work experience in Customer service and Security. In my last job, I worked in a non-profit organization. While making my career, I also volunteered at the Saskatoon Open Door Society. Over there, I have taken volunteer training in the Settlement and Cultural Training program for Volunteers, Refugee awareness, Strengthening Leadership in a diverse community, etc. I have visited some memorable places for the indigenous people, like Waskasu. This place was a metis people’s city. Then, they fought with the new settlers, and the war destroyed their community.

I have met many indigenous people in Saskatchewan, including Cree, Inuit, and Metis. Some were my colleagues, and some were my son’s school friends. I found them very soft in heart, generous, and helpful.

I wanted to work as a community worker on newcomers or climate issues, so I took a program to study called “Community Worker.” To work in a community, I must learn about different neighbourhoods and Indigenous people and work with them to empower them and have a better community.

Song: Sway

It's a beautiful song. Singer Dean Martin. It also proves that a man can easily use sweet words to win a woman's heart.

Lyrics:

When marimba rhythms start to play

Dance with me, make me sway

Like a lazy ocean hugs the shore

Hold me close, sway me more

Like a flower bending in the breeze

Bend with me, sway with ease

When we dance, you have a way with me

Stay with me, sway with me

Other dancers may be on the floor

Dear, but my eyes will see only you

Only you have that magic technique

When we sway, I go weak

I can hear the sounds of violins

Long before it begins

Make me thrill as only you know how

Sway me smooth, sway me now

Other dancers may be on the floor

Dear, but my eyes will see only you

Only you have that magic technique

When we sway, I go weak

I can hear the sounds of violins

Long before it begins

Make me thrill as only you know how

Sway me smooth, sway me now

When marimba rhythms start to play

Dance with me, make me sway

Like a lazy ocean hugs the shore

Hold me close, sway me more

Like a flower bending in the breeze

Bend with me, sway with ease

When we dance you have a way with me

Stay with me, sway with me

Education policy for the children

Math and language are both essential subjects for kids to learn. But if you only want to focus on those two subjects, that won't be good for anyone. Kids are not computers or working machines that they just need to learn those topics only. Kids shouldn't be raised like a working machine. We should nourish them so that they can use their creativity and improve mankind as well as themselves. We should let them grow as they want to be and guide them so that their mentality or actions don't harm anyone or themselves. That should be our education policy.

This way, kids, who are our future generation, will be able to find solutions that we can never think of, and they will find the best way to improve the earth's lifestyle. Let them be creative and let them do whatever they are good at, not just as a workforce or labour.

Bangla song: Prothomoto Ami Tomake Chai

When I heard this song, I loved it. Who won't want to have someone who loves and wants this way? Then I heard he meant this song for his cigarette. I don't know how much truth that news has, but it just removed that likeness from my heart for this song.

Biography 207: Paragon shoe

I have seen my parents like to do their shopping at Baitul Mokarram Shopping Center (Baituk Mokarram Market). The shopping center is attached to the National Mosque of Bangladesh, Baitul Mokarram. I found them a little expensive, though this is the best place for luggage, Muslim dresses, religious things (like jaynamaj, tasbeeh, etc.), and books.

One day, I asked my dad to buy me a pair of shoes (Ladies' sandals). I was probably a student in those days. My dad took me to Baitul Mokarram Masjeed Shopping Center. I was looking for sandals from one store to another. We went inside a store named Paragon. One shopkeeper was talking to a customer. He looked aged, tall, and very well dressed up, like the owner of a shop. I made a quick scan of the display sandals, then went outside. He stopped us and requested me to sit down and wait.

If any other shoe seller is requested, maybe I won't listen and go out, but this man has a good personality, like an experienced salesman. He said, I will bring something, and you will like it. He was very confident, that's why I sat down and waited for him to finish with the other customer.

Then he brought some sandals from inside for me. He got the perfect size. I knew myself. If the shoe doesn't look good on my feet, I won't buy it. So, I was kind of sitting with a challenge. The first one he bought was without a hill. I liked the hill. (Now I forget how to wear high-hill shoes; on those days, I wouldn't care how big the hill was because I knew how to manage those.) The next one was a black-coloured high-hill shoe. The design was very good and looked great on my feet. I had to admit, in my mind, this guy knew which shoe would look good on which foot.

It was a bit costly, but my dad paid for it. The shoe quality was excellent. I used it for years and wore it almost everywhere. Later, I went to the shopping mall and struggled to find that shop. But different shopkeepers or salesmen were there. I didn't like the way they approached me, and I didn't find that designed shoe on their display. So, I never went to that shop again.

In Canada, I had similar kind of experience with the "Running Shoes". They provided shoes which was perfect size for my feet with a good quality.

[Verse 1: Chris Martin]
Oh, angel sent from up above
You know you make my world light up
When I was down, when I was hurt
You came to lift me up
Life is a drink and love's a drug
Oh now I think I must be miles up
When I was a river dried up
You came to rain a flood

[Pre-Chorus: Chris Martin & Beyoncé]
You said drink from me, drink from me
When I was so thirsty
Poured on a symphony
Now I just can't get enough
Put your wings on me, wings on me
When I was so heavy
Poured on a symphony
When I'm low, low, low, low

[Chorus: Chris Martin]
I, oh-I, oh-I
Got me feeling drunk and high, so high, so high
Oh-I, oh-I, oh-I
Now I’m feeling drunk and high, so high, so high

A popular song: Love Me Like You Do

I don't like violence. So, the movie wasn't my cup of tea.

 Song by Ellie Goulding

Movie: Fifty Shades of Grey (2015)

Lyrics:

You're the light, you're the night
You're the colour of my blood
You're the cure, you're the pain
You're the only thing I wanna touch
Never knew that it could mean so much, so much
You're the fear, I don't care
'Cause I've never been so high
Follow me through the dark
Let me take you past our satellites
You can see the world you brought to life, to life
So love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do
Love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do
Touch me like you do, ta-ta-touch me like you do
What are you waiting for?

Fading in, fading out
On the edge of paradise
Every inch of your skin is a Holy Grail I've got to find
Only you can set my heart on fire, on fire
Yeah, I'll let you set the pace
'Cause I'm not thinking straight
My head's spinning around, I can't see clear no more
What are you waiting for?

Love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do (like you do)
Love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do
Touch me like you do, ta-ta-touch me like you do
What are you waiting for?

Love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do (like you do)
Love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do (ye-yeah)
Touch me like you do, ta-ta-touch me like you do
What are you waiting for?

I'll let you set the pace
'Cause I'm not thinking straight
My head's spinning around, I can't see clear no more
What are you waiting for?

Love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do (like you do)
Love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do (ye-yeah)
Touch me like you do, ta-ta-touch me like you do
What are you waiting for?

Love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do (like you do)
Love me like you do, la-la-love me like you do (whoa)
Touch me like you do, ta-ta-touch me like you do (ah)
What are you waiting for?

Construction work time

We all have some idea of how long construction may take. Many Torontonians come from different countries, and many have visited various countries, so we have some ideas. But, how construction work takes time in Toronto raises questions.

I believe our responsible people need to seek help or suggestions and visit Japan, Singapore, or other countries that do their construction work quickly and efficiently. We may require some training or guidance to improve our maintenance work time.

World is doing much better, we need to learn and implement to our country Canada too.

Song: Justin Bieber - Baby

It's a beautiful song. Justin Bieber was a super start from his childhood. Now he is going to have his own baby ;) Wish him all the best.

Lyrics

Oh-ooh-whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-ooh-whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-ooh-whoa-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh

You know you love me (yo), I know you care (uh-huh)

Just shout whenever (yo), and I'll be there (uh-huh)

You are my love (yo), you are my heart (uh-huh)

And we will never, ever, ever be apart (yo, uh-huh)

Are we an item? (Yo) girl, quit playin' (uh-huh)

"We're just friends" (yo), what are you sayin'? (Uh-huh)

Said, "There's another" (yo), and looked right in my eyes (uh-huh)

My first love broke my heart for the first time, and I was like (yo, uh-huh)

"Baby, baby, baby, oh"

Like, "Baby, baby, baby, no"

Like, "Baby, baby, baby, oh"

I thought you'd always be mine, mine

"Baby, baby, baby, oh"

Like, "Baby, baby, baby, no"

Like, "Baby, baby, baby, oh"

I thought you'd always be mine, mine

Oh, for you, I would've done whatever (uh-huh)

And I just can't believe we ain't together (yo, uh-huh)

And I wanna play it cool (yo), but I'm losin' you (uh-huh)

I'll buy you anything (yo), I'll buy you any ring (uh-huh)

And I'm in pieces (yo), baby, fix me (uh-huh)

And just shake me 'til you wake me from this bad dream (yo, uh-huh)

I'm goin' down (oh), down, down, down (uh-huh)

And I just can't believe, my first love won't be around, and I'm like

"Baby, baby, baby, oh"

Like, "Baby, baby, baby, no"

Like, "Baby, baby, baby, oh"

I thought you'd always be mine, mine

"Baby, baby, baby, oh"

Like, "Baby, baby, baby, no"

Like, "Baby, baby, baby, oh"

I thought you'd always be mine, mine (Luda!)

When I was 13, I had my first love

There was nobody that compared to my baby

And nobody came between us, nor could ever come above

She had me goin' crazy

Oh, I was starstruck

She woke me up daily

Don't need no Starbucks (woo)

She made my heart pound

And skip a beat when I see her in the street and

At school on the playground

But I really wanna see her on the weekend

She knows she got me dazin'

'Cause she was so amazin'

And now, my heart is breakin'

But I just keep on sayin'

"Baby, baby, baby, oh"

Like, "Baby, baby, baby, no"

Like, "Baby, baby, baby, oh"

I thought you'd always be mine, mine

"Baby, baby, baby, oh"

Like, "Baby, baby, baby, no"

Like, "Baby, baby, baby, oh"

I thought you'd always be mine, mine

I'm gone (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

Now, I'm all gone (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

Now, I'm all gone (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

Now, I'm all gone (gone, gone, gone)

I'm gone

Biography 206: Flowers

I like flowers. When I started using a computer in the office, I used to search for and download pictures of flowers to make wallpapers. I needed more because I used to change the wallpaper every now and then. I didn't have a cell phone or digital camera to take pictures, so I had to download them from the internet. One of my colleagues, Anisul, noticed it.

Later, in his marriage ceremony, I gave him handicraft flower pots, which were designed with flowers in mud. I didn't notice that I gave him flowers. One day, he was talking about my gifts and said, "I know you like flowers; you used to download flower pictures, and you gave me gifts like that at my marriage ceremony." I remember, oh yeah, I chose the gift but didn't notice that it had the flowers too.

Article: "School lunches in France: nursery-school gourmets."

 School Lunches in France

The article's main point (School lunches in France: nursery-school gourmets by Walt, V. 2010, February) is to compare school lunches in the USA and France and inform the audience about how healthy and prosperous the French lunch system is. The writer compares them nicely and describes how a parent feels about them.

There are a couple of supplementary messages in this article. For example, in France, students will have healthy food habits and won't become bored with the menu because they get 5-course meals daily, "… including an hors d'oeuvre, salad, main course, cheese plate and dessert" (Walt, 2010, para.3).; these menus don't repeat in 32 days. Also, there is no school vending machine for snacks and beverages. They also included students' parents in the meal system by suggesting what students may eat for dinner. The parents might not know what their kids are learning, but they understand what they eat at lunch. The writer also told the audience in a fun way that Americans wonder how French people can be so trim and fit after taking lots of cheese, cream, and cake. Some thoughts are it must be the wine. The kids learn what to eat and have good food habits before they know how to hold a knife.

The article's context was that the writer was amazed by the school lunch system; it feels like they wanted to have the same in America, too, because American food habits help people gain weight, which is unhealthy.

The themes and keywords of this article, such as Good Food Habit, Good Food System in Schools, Eating Healthy, French School, and American School, underscore the importance of nurturing our children's food habits for their overall health. This emphasis should leave the audience concerned and motivated to advocate for healthier school food habits.

My ideas are not only because of food habits; we should start making fresh for food safety. Food becomes unsafe if we keep it at an average room temperature for 2 hours. After packing lunch, it takes more than 2 hours for the children to eat during their break. If we want a healthy child for our future generation, we must be cautious with our children's food habits.
