I believe students shouldn't have assignments to complete at home (Homework). Whatever teachers want to teach should be done in the classroom. All work should be done at school time. Home time should be for enjoying and learning from real life.
They might get assigned to do household work, like laundry, dishes, and preparing meals. They might also help mom or dad, clean the room and the whole house, fix things, create something for home, play with siblings or parents or alone, etc. They might also travel with the family to different places.
After school, time should be spent on real-life training with surroundings, such as going to old-age homes to the elders, giving time to junior schools to help juniors, going to the hospitals to help doctors, nurses, and patients, and going to any office where they can help and do real office work. They can go to a shelter to help people who needed, help in community center and food banks.
We should merge school life book learning and real-life learning. Not take all of their time from their life. We should keep room for them to increase their creativity. We should teach them how to utilize their time. How to have good business ideas to start earning.
A new colleague joined us. I found him very friendly—I mean overly friendly. He was laughing, talking, and moving like dancing everywhere. He went to every desk to make friends. He couldn't do well with me, or he wasn't interested in making friends with me.
His best friend became our project manager. He called her Bhabi (Sister in law). Giving her all kinds of help and suggestions. She became very dependent on him. He started going to her home during lunch break with her. Her house was nearby, so she used to go to her home on lunch break. She fed her well by making new delicious items. I overheard him saying that today's chicken salad was the world's best. I agree with him. Because she brought food to the office one day, which was very delicious.
Then, one day, I heard the project manager was fired. Because she can't work alone, she doesn't have the capability to manage projects. Can you guess who complained to the owner? Her best friend, our new colleague. I was thinking, at least for a free good lunch, he should have kept her as a friend.
The project manager was gone. Next, he made friends with our head network administrator. I had a bad feeling that this network manager might fall into trouble soon. And it was. Soon, the friend complained to the owner that the network manager didn't know how to work. He looked at a book while working. The owner called the system administrator, and he decided to quit his job.
One day, I was designing the company website. I already told you I didn't make friends with the new guy. But that guy went to my close friend colleague behind my back. If I had known, I would have warned her. He said something to her. She and the new guy came to me and started suggesting ways to design the website.
She said, "Why are you working so hard to make the all buttons and links in personalized design. See Microsoft Word has so many clip art. Use those, the company owner will like the design." He also asked me to use ready made borders. Kind off force fully, by standing beside my back, keep suggesting me and made me to use those to design the website. And then asked me to send this to the owner for approval.
I thought, as they all came to me, they were looking for me and trying to rescue me. So, let's make one according to their suggestion. But I knew as he was behind me, so next, I had to leave.
Later, I heard from somewhere else. Someone said to all that I don't know how to design a website. I take help from ready-made designs. I never did that.
The owner had created Facebook to show pictures of those people
you know. People browse the net for many purposes, like news, entertainment,
etc. But people liked to know and see more about their known people than the
unknown people. From this concept, Facebook became popular.
Nowadays, Facebook has become a perfect tool for many
purposes. Today I will discuss one of its most dangerous effects of it.
Facebook became an excellent medium to spread misinformation and
disinformation. Facebook uses perfect algorithms to know your likings and
preferences. They regularly monitor which news you check, how long you have
been there, where you just put your mouse and every other minor detail. Based
on that, they show you posts. So, if you are interested in any misinformation, the
Facebook algorithm will show you all other related misinformation. And slowly,
you will start believing those wrong information and be a media to spread that information
to your friends and family. So, other people who may not consider any unknown
source will think about it as if it came from you. We can call this technological
diffusion.
The dangers of misleading information and 3-5 steps that
Community Workers can take to counter misinformation/disinformation.
Community Workers should always be aware of all information
and misinformation running in the community so that they can take necessary
steps to guide the community to avoid any consequences from the misinformation.
The steps they might take are:
-The community worker may report the
misinformation to the media who had posted it.
-The community worker should provide information
with proof of the misinformation in the post's comments so that others can be
aware of it.
-In community meetings, the community worker may
give accurate information to inform people about misinformation and
disinformation.
-Community Workers may make one-to-one
communication where they feel it's needed to spot spreading misinformation.
-Community workers may arrange community
gatherings with knowledgeable persons like scientists, doctors, etc., who might
talk with the community people directly to make them aware of the factual,
scientific information.
In colleges and universities, every floor should have a kitchen corner where a student or students can make fresh food and sell it. This way a student can learn and experience how to run a restaurant/food truck and also they will earn some money. At the same time, other students and teachers can have fresh food on their floor so that they don't have to run to other places to get food when they starving.
The educational organization can provide some funds, other organizations or government also can contribute in the fund to help the student and serve food in less price (or free) to the students and teachers (or visitors). This way the student won't have less profit and other students will be able to get good food.
We all want good health for the students for the future of Canada. This way, we can save students from eating fast/junk food ( which is very unhealthy for them).
The building safety monitoring group will check all food services regularly to ensure all safe plans have been followed.
Once, I joined a company whose owner was living in the UK. He came to Bangladesh, established a company, and returned because of his main job or business. He asked his brother, who was living in the USA, to join the company. His brother came, and I have given an interview with this brother. I got selected and joined.
It was a new company, and I was really scared about the way this brother managed the office. He recruited people, and then he fired them within a month or less if that person failed to show good enough performance. All employees became very scared; no one knew when they might get fired.
I didn't like this idea. But now I was thinking this is a good way actually. He knows people lie in resumes, so he was giving chances to people to prove themselves. If they are not good enough then let them go and let a qualified person join. And also that person should find a suitable position for themselves.
Another thing I learned from him is focusing on marketing. He built a marketing team of 10/12 people. He trained them and met with them every day to know how they were working and give suggestions. That's why from the very first day the marketing team started getting deals, when even our product were not ready. Within a month they bring 1.5 crore deal.
You must be thinking the company must become a very big company soon. No, it's not that brother's fault. It is the owner. The brother said he would give his 100% to this company. Even he might stay permanently in Bangladesh. But he needed more than 50% of the share of the company. But the owner wasn't ready to give his company to his brother. So, this brother went back to the USA. He created his own company over there and is now living there with his wife and child.
The UK living owner couldn't run the company well.
The Road
to Political Culture: A Changing Canada or a Cranky Canada: As a democratic
country, Canada should have trust in its government. Though it is decreasing, the
support for RCMP decreased by 7 %. During the pandemic, this situation became
worse. Many controversies came on lockdown, vaccine mandate, mask mandate, etc.
Freedom convoy came to Ottawa to protest.
Explain the meaning of
political culture and its antecedents: One person will be selected from a
city.
What is Political Culture: Political
culture changes frequently. Every culture has some symbols that reflect its
culture.
Important Canadian Symbol: Americans
used their flag to show America is great. Monarchy is a controversial symbol in
Canada, which Quebec refused to accept. The Charter of Rights is an excellent
symbol of a united Canada. Another one is the Canadian Health Care System. The
value of the symbols can be changed with time like many statues had been
removed.
In Search of Canadian
Political Culture: Every country has its unique political culture, though, at
the same time, it can resemble other countries, too. Canadian political culture
has with other British colony countries, Australia, New Zealand, and the USA,
the only neighbouring country. Canadians and the USA share the same long
border.
Analyzing
Political Culture: Discuss the theories used to explore Canadian
political culture: Canadian political scientists used two approaches to
describe Canadian Political Culture. One is based on history, and the other is
a sample survey.
Theoretical and Historical
Approaches to Understanding Political Culture: Political Culture is like an
umbrella where different ideologies may exist. In Canada, we have three significant
ideologies:
Conservatism, Liberalism
and Socialism. Founding Fragments Theory: Canadian Ideologies
should be divided into English and French. Formative Events Theory: The
birth of the country significantly impacts the Ideology. Canada slowly
disengaged from the British. However, Canada didn’t go against its mother
country.
A
National Political Culture: Common Beliefs and Values: 76% of
Canadians said they are satisfied with their democracy, whereas the USA was
46%.
Views about Government and
Politics: Only 4% of Canadians have a favourable opinion of politicians.
Trust in government and political institutions is decreasing. Though 67% of
Canadians said, they somewhat trust the government.
Rights and Freedoms: Canadian
Rights and Freedoms were established in Canada in 1982.
Tolerance: the adoption
policy of multiculturalism in 1971 was the first in the world, in Canada.
Diversity
and Political Culture: Provincial and Regional Political Cultures:
Canadian politics are regional.
Quebec Political Culture: They
are the master of their financial institute. They first introduce laws to die
(For ill patients), not accepting head cover for Muslim women for public
service.
Indigenous Political Cultures:
Canada is neglecting Indigenous values.
Ethnicity: Canada has
different ethnic groups.
Youth: Canadian youth has a
different view than the aged generation.
A
Redundant Border: Determine the extent of the similarities between Canadians
and Americans: Canadians
living in a shadow of the USA culture. We have over 9000km of border, language,
and culture.
Global Cultural Trends: Some think Canadian political values are closer
to Europe than the USA.
One of my friends used to sing this in class. It's a beautiful song played in two languages, Bangla and Hindi. When the song was written, those two communities were in the same country.
You have the right to live peacefully without being attacked, gather peacefully without any judgment, and speak about your thoughts without being targeted. The same rights apply to all humans: people who live with you, your neighbour, your country, your neighbourhood county, and people from all over the world.
Let's have these rights and not destroy other's rights.
One of my colleagues, "Laboni," started a new trend with us in Bangladesh. She said every month, we will celebrate our payday. After getting paid, all our colleagues will go to a restaurant and have lunch together. Everyone will pay their own bill, so there is no pressure on one person. And we will have a good time together by having lunch.
I continued it as much as possible. Later, due to a financial crisis, I had to stop it. I thought I might start it in Canada. But I found people are not that interested in having lunch together here. Paydays are weekly or biweekly, and everyone has a different work schedule. No one likes anyone. So, I even couldn't think of starting it over here.
COVID-19 and the Canadian Economy: The devastating
impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Canadian economy cannot be overstated.
With two million people losing their jobs, half of which were in $15-per-hour
jobs, predominantly in the hospitality and retail sectors, and numerous small
businesses forced to close, the economic landscape has been significantly
altered. In response, the government has injected billions of dollars into the
economy, with initiatives such as CERB providing $500 per week to those in need.
The Canadian Economy: - Outline the basic feature of the
Canadian economy: The Canadian Economy is a free market economy. Most of
the companies are private. Though, all levels of government play a good role in
the economy. The Role of Government: Some businesses in Canada are government-owned.
They called Crown Corporation, such as Air Canada, Rail, etc. In some provinces,
Hydro and other facilities are. The government doesn’t involve too much in
private corporations. Economic Development: European settlers were
interested in Canada because of its rich natural resources, like Cod, wheat,
oil, timber, wheat, etc. Now a day, Canada exports Oil, minerals, etc. Canadians
don’t have stable labour jobs. New industries developed in Canada in the twentieth
century.
Canada’s Trade and Foreign Investment Agreements: - Canada
is one of the founding countries of GATT. In 1995, it converted to the World
Trade Organization (WTO), which controls rules for 164 countries’ trade flow. There
was a controversial agreement to give subsidies to the agricultural farmers of
the rich country, which has been omitted.
Canada’s North American Free
Trade Agreement: Canada is practicing a free trade agreement. Free trade
Agreement doesn’t put tariffs on any product or service; it creates rules to
protect labour rights and other elements of the trade.
The North American Free Trade
Agreement, 1992: Canadian economics feared Canada would become a satellite
of the USA. After World War 2, Canada and the USA traded mainly free of tariff.
1988, the Canadian election results were directly reflected in the trade
agreement with the USA. After the election, the conservative party won and
signed a 1989 free trade agreement with the USA. In 1992, Mexico joined Canada
and the USA in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Though this
trade agreement didn’t stop the USA campaign “Buy America.” Here, mostly
Canadian steel factories are affected.
The United States-Mexico-Canada
Agreement, 2018 (USMCA): President Trump was against NAFTA; he made this
new agreement to replace NAFTA and threatened Canada that if Canada disagreed
with it, he would push out Canada from the agreement. He made a new policy to
give more access to US dairy products in Canada and put tariffs on Canadian
products, like Aluminium. Which continued till May 2019.
The European Union-Canada
Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) removed almost all tariffs
between Canada and the European Union trades. Foreign Investment: During
1960, 50% of foreign investment companies were from the USA. In 2018, Canada
made an agreement with China for foreign investment.
Government and the Economy: Canadian Government plays
a significant role in the economy. From the beginning, the government created
and regulated rail and air transport. It helped by creating rules and
regulations to run the private companies well. The government also invests
money to educate people about business.
Economic Inequality: Canada’s
economic inequality has grown more in recent decades.
The Economy and the
Environment: Canadian government took the environmental issues seriously
and took many internal and international policies and actions to work on it.
The song "Sohag Chand Badoni" by Akassh is a beautiful romantic track. The opening lines "Oh Sundori Bolo Ami Ki Kori" suggest the confusion of the singer regarding the sudden influx of love in their life. The singer is inquiring what to do now that he has fallen in love with the beautiful woman, who is dancing to the music of the dhol. The lyrics are poetic and romantic, with lines like "Jeno Kacha Bashe Bosheche Bhromor" describing how the singer wants to spend his life with his love beside him. The mention of the "boiraagi mon pirit koira," which means the spiritual self is in pain, adds a depth of emotion to the song.
The chorus "Sohag Chand, Bodoni Dhoni Nachoto Dekhi" is the highlight of the song. The phrase means, "I see the beautiful moon and the lovely sounds of the dhol, but I cannot see the beautiful woman dancing." This line adds a sense of longing and desire to the song.
Overall, "Sohag Chand Badoni" is a song that beautifully portrays the feeling of falling in love with a person you see dancing at a festival. The poetic lyrics, melodious tune, and voice of the singer make this song a perfect choice for romantic occasions.
I was a child in Bangladesh when I watched gymnastics at the Olympics on TV. My mom said, don't bother about their dresses. It's in their culture. The way, we don't bother if a kid when they dresses up like that (You can see their bums), they don't bother for the women.
I believed it. Now, I am living in the first world. I am sure women's bum is always attractive to men.
People watch the Olympics, or all sports competitions, to watch sports. To feel it's competition. To enjoy the challenges. It shouldn't be to watch the human body like porn.
People who join the sports participate in the game, but it doesn't mean they have to open or make it visible with the clothes to let people see them and enjoy it. They want their game to be enjoyable.
We (Authority) should not make both males and females wear dresses like that. They are not comfortable at all. People can see every now and then; they fix their dresses or try to hide their body parts with towels. But they can't wear any clothing which is comfortable for them.
Let's not use their bodies to gain money. Let's sports be sports.
The same strategy became a must for the singers, too. Singing is supposed to be done to listen to melody, lyrics, and music. But it mainly became to show body, movement like a whore. These singers have beautiful voices and good albums. They shouldn't be presented like that. If you noticed Celine Dion or Adele. They are one of most popular singers in the world, they didn't need to show their body and do things like a porn to make themselves famous. No singer is popular for showing body, its their singing which is making them popular, then why is this trends?
